Been with them for years they rock! Very satisfied.
I ordered two items. Paid or thought I paid. Was informed I didn't pay for that order. So I paid again, now there is two payments and two orders. I never intended to buy the same items twice! Tried calling Takealot. Got through only once. Could barely hear the person who was no help at all. I want my money back! Phoned three times after that only silence on the line cannot hear the person on the other side. Obvious avoidance tactic on Takealot's side to interact with their victims. Order number 136062043 and 136063575.
Tried to get a pre-auth for a tooth extraction for days now. Pre-auth request emails acknowledged 11 Jul 2023 at 11:45 but not answered. No use trying to phone their call center, although friendly the personnel are not able to answer or help with anything besides reciting pre-written scripts in bored sounding voices. "24 to 48 hours response time". That 48 hours has come and gone, and my appointment is tomorrow morning. Will have to pay cash it seems to rid myself of extreme dental pain.
Fitflop shoes ordered via their website https://fitflop.co.za/ and paid via PayPal. Order number 44b638-494. Payment according to PayPal went to one "Gino Berardi" and not FitFlop SA. Screen grabs of all transactions available on request. Order not delivered, several messages on their website under their "contact us" tab not answered to date, their support number on their website +27860994091 doesn't even ring it immediately disconnects. We paid R1875 for a pair of shoes that did not materialize and we want the product or the money back.
I tried to withdraw from a fixed deposit account. Banking app wouldn't let me. Tried it online, some error messages appeared. Then I tried the banking app chat feature. What a waste of time. Struggled for 30 minutes to get something out of the consultant, instead of helping me he kept on talking bank language that I don't understand. He was supposed to give me something called the CRS team's contact details yet I never got it. Can somebody please help?
I enquired about a car on their website, one located at Silver Lakes in Pretoria and the stock number is 43A6C7334, a 2015 Renault Sandero 900T. I was contacted and I applied for finance and was approved. Yesterday 20210322 I went to the Silver Lakes branch to test drive the car but was told it is gone and sold. Yet the car is still for sale on the website. Nobody even knew where the car was since it and the keys was gone. After much confusion I went home. This morning I was informed the car is not sold but was taken by a manager to go on holiday with it. So what is being done with the car that I wanted to buy in good faith? Being spun from every robot? Driven of curbs? Maybe a child throwing up in it? How many kilometers is being added from the advertised 56,000km? 100? 10,000? One will never know. Naturally everybody is very sorry and I shouldn't worry etc but how is this in any way acceptable? The sales person tried to contact this manager person who took the car but as I'm typing here this person couldn't be found. Really this is a worse horror story than anything you'll ever see in a movie. I really urge people to not do business Webucars because what you see on the website and what you'll get - it won't be the same thing.
We ordered a package from Takealot and it was relayed to us that it will be delivered Saturday 7 November. We waited eagerly but nobody arrived. At approx 20:35 we received an SMS that nobody was home. The delivery was rescheduled for today. Eventually the guy pitched with only some of the goods. When asked where is the rest the reply was that he forgot them. What kind of an operation is run like this? First lies about us not being home, now forgetting half the order? The call centre people at Takealot really tried to help but nothing happens. This is dissapointing. Since Takealot started using their new couriers things really started going south. Order no 68249487.
My contract amount suddenly went up with R50. 00 out of the blue. My math may be a little of but it looks like an increase of 14.34% (R348.50 to R398.40)! I phoned their call center and asked about it - only to be told I have been informed via SMS about a price increase, but the increase amount never seems to have been communicated to me. The Vodacom app however displays my bill as R348.50 while the invoice is R398.50. I asked about this and the consultant admitted on a recorded call, and repeated it, that the Vodacom app is not correct in regards to the billing amount. What is the use of referring customers to the app when their own call center consultants admits its not correct? Did I not sign for a certain amount a contract and now they randomly increase prices? Call Centre agent = Frieda Saohatse, time of call = 08:16, date of call = ********** 3, my account number = I **********
My parcel clearly marked "Pretoria, Gauteng" made it all the way from Hong Kong only to be sent to Nelspruit, because that's where Pretoria is right? Nobody at the call center answers the phones, yesterday I held on for 33 minutes before giving up. Today I gave up after 28 minutes. Emails are not answered. Their website and phone app gives different locations. for the parcel. All I want is my parcel but it seems to be lost forever.
Why do they continue with a contract that expired WITHOUT INFORMING ME OF IT OR THE COST INVOLVED WITH THIS OR GETTING MY PERMISSION FOR IT? Funny how many people I talk to at who all have been scammed by Cell-C in this way. I wonder about the legality of this seeing that the Consumer Protection Act seems to forbid this practice? I want to cancel my contract! I want to be shot of the scam called Cell-C! The contract expired so its over - finish and klaar. I tried speaking to an agent of the in their retentions dept, he could barely speak English and refused to transfer my call to a supervisor AND purposely spoke too fast for me to get his name properly - so what I got is Boid Mhlan something something. Now I know why Cell-C is in the financial trouble it is in.
