Bought a kitchen island cooker hood. Good price and delivered quickly. Friendly service from Godfrey.
I just think if you want to impose halaal religious believes on customers, dont call it a portuguese restaurant but a church canteen. I have never heard of a halaal portuguese restaurant. No wine, no beer. Not even zero alcohol beer is allowed. Portugal is very famous for its good wines and not famous at all for halaal believes. Its like an Italian restaurant without pizza and pasta or a boerewors roll thats vegan. Most boring portuguese meal that I ever had with a glass of water. I was wondering why the turn and tender nearby was so full and calisto so empty. Also thought the seafood pasta for R200 was really boring, little sauce that looks as if it comes from a bottle and a few pieces of mussels (and was it also a few pieces of calamari few and far between?).
Useless phone app. Get stuck on insisting on taking selfies over and over and over. An hour earlier I deposited R5k at pnp and to make payments. Eventually had to drive to another pnp to withdraw the same cash again to pay the cash into one of my other bank accounts to make payments. But can only withdraw R5k per day as I wanted to make R6k payments. So I got an idea to empty the account and transfer the remainder to one of my other bank accounts because it is useless if the phone app does not work to pay someone. It worked but then you have to wait for phone OTP's to arrive that dont arrive. Every time you have to resend OTP's and eventually multiple OTP's will arrive then you have to figure out if the latest one is still coming or is this the latest one or is the top one or bottom one the latest. Its like pulling teeth to use the phone app or internet site to pay someone. Maybe Tymebank is geared toward someone paying money into your account and using the card to buy groceries but does not work for paying cash into the account to make payments.
Website claim they will give you instant medical aid quotes comparing more than 20 plans on filling in a form with your information. That is not true after filling in the form you dont receive instant quotations but call centers start to call you.
Takealot is selling products that are not working/defective and give excuses not to refund. I bought a printer cartridge on takealot (TAL) that is as per model nr of my printer. I paid nearly a 50% premium than other offerings to make sure I buy a quality cartridge. It says on the cartridge it is compatible with the model nr required. When slotting in the cartridge in my printer it says it is not compatible. On demanding a refund from TAL They said it is not a refundable item. The consumer protection act protect consumers from this kind of exploitation. Now TAL by the name of Manfred.M stated that as I bought the wrong product it is an unwanted purchase. What is he smoking? It is defective! Now I must go through the the admin to register a case at the CONSUMER GOODS AND SERVICES OMBUD. This is ******* of TAL; and I advise other customers to also register cases with the Ombudsman as TAL cannot override the law with their terms and conditions by selling defective products that are non refundable. The Act overrides those ******* terms and conditions.
I want to review a gps tracking product from Makro online (coming from PSM 1 THREE) and not a review of Makro because I cannot do a follow up review or edit my previous review on the makro website. "Rechargeable Trailer GPS Tracker Real Time Van Caravan Luggage Car GPS Tracking" or "4G Locator Wireless Satellite Vehicle-mounted Burglar Alarm Wireless Tracker For Vehicles". I have seen it also on takelot. It is the rectangular black (no brand) gps tracker with the wording 4G written on it with 7 dots connected with a line; and battery plus magnet built in. I paid much more for the product at makro because I know makro is a trusted store rather paying almost half the price at bob shop or takealot. 1)GPS device is a no name brand thus cannot google info on it and nothing, nothing on youtube. 2) Setup/instruction manual is really really really bad. 3) Product /software website is Chinese only if you figured out the url is incorrectly spelled. (remove the "web." in the front of the url. 4) App is not on the android playstore as claimed. There is a Tracku app on playstore but not the right one ie. Track U app. 5) when the app ask for the device imei it is the unspecified 11 digit nr between all the other numbers on the bod/device. 6) When the app ask for "sim" it is the international telephone nr of the simcard starting with +27. Not yes or no or imei or anything else. If you know#5 and #6 it will save you many hours guessing combinations of information that is nowhere mentioned. 7) GPS location at least 300m out and most of the time much more. After trying to figure out why it is so inaccurate I realised in the setup there are two "location models" to choose from and it provides historical gps info saved on the device when requesting a location. Thus when making contact with the device via 4G it tells you where the device was last time when it recorded the position and not where the device is now. When I requested the gps location while writing the review it gave me a location of 3 days ago (but still 300m out) although this device has moved from sandton to boksburg and pretoria for a few days, and back to sandton again. This is while trying both "location models" and trying wifi positioning and gps positioning settings. Even if the device would have worked as intended (which it does not) it will not give a live map location of the device or car; it is meant to give you a historical position. The 1st model option (setting) is to record where the car is every 5 minutes (default). So when you request a position it will give you a position where the car was 5 minutes ago while it is moving. It the device is not moving it will NOT record at all. Thus on the default setting when a person is driving 60km/h the position can be out by 5km. Even on the most frequent setting of 30 seconds recording the device can be out by 500m as this is how far away you can drive from your previous recorded position in 30 seconds; and when the device stops moving it does not record the newest position. This is what is intended to happen as per app settings but my device moved hundreds of kilometers it was still reporting the device is stationary after a few days. The second setting is to record position once per one hour (or more hours). I never found this setting to work at all. It continued to report a position of three days ago even though the app reported the gps signal is strong, battery is good, 4g signal is strong. Even if this setting would work as intended how are you going to find your device/car if you can only get the position of an hour ago? When you get to the location assuming you get an accurate position the car could be 100km way again. After setting up this beautiful no name brand mystery 4G gps tracker and tested it, it appeared to me more like snake oil. Cannot recommend.
Avoid Vox and rather go for a good internet service provider like afrihost fibre. I never had problems with afrihost fibre but there are always problems with vox. The only reason I signed up with vox at this one specific property is because they were the only ones in the area and the line was already installed and I needed a connected security and cctv system between properties of mine, and the cellphone signal is extremely poor in the area. A few years ago I also cancelled their service after they increased tariffs by 25% per year for the 3rd year in a row. They sign you up cheap with promises and the problems come later. Lately, after I already had a legal and signed debit order with them in place and running for some time they decided to introduce unnecessary admin to force clients to visit their portal and confirm debit orders; failing to jump through new created hoops suspension of service. Because I cant trust them anymore to execute payment I will from now on do the payments myself. The problem is that they claim it can take up to 24 hours after payment to start the service again, while it is already more than 50 hours after instantaneous payment was made fnb to fnb, and no service. This create a big security risk for the property. Someone was informing me of 4 males trying to look over my gate and wall on saturday morning and I could not access cameras and the alarm because of that. I will look again if there is not another ISP in the area by now and move to them as soon as I can.
I subscribed to their electronic auto dealers guide that cost in the order of R8000. It is one of the worst companies I came across in a long time. Clauses in their contract are conflicting. You have to enter and sign specifically for codes in the contract that has no meaning to the subscriber. It takes ages to subscribe. They should let a proper lawyer read through their ambiguous contract before using it for clients. When you log in to their website to get a car value it is just loading…and loading…and loading; and is actually useless. What is wrong with their servers? A book to look up car values is much quicker than their electronic guide. I was wondering why most car dealers in SA rather use dealersonline.co.za, but now I know it. What is wrong with their management? Are they retired or not interested. What is going on?
Dont trust cars being sold here. Advertised as "very clean" and in "excellent condition" and then they claim the car is being sold as a "non-runner" when you return the vehicle as permitted under Consumer Protection Act. Be prepared to work through Ombudsman and lawyers when your vehicle was purchased here and stand most of the time in workshops to repair with serious problems not disclosed.
