Amazing service as well as after sales service. Competitively priced. Cannot fault them. I've dealt with two seperate teams so far and they have both been friendly, polite, informative and a delight to deal with. From Peter the sales rep to the installation teams to the ladies at the office, everyone adds something to this fabulous company. Highly recommended!
The Cape Town team assured me they knew how to connect my solar pv system to the new geyser. They did not and I had to pay an extra almost R1000 to Solarent (highly recommended BTW) to fix what Impetha did incorrectly. They also put a hole in an interior door while installing the geyser which they did not show me or apologize for. Unfortunately Standard Bank uses inferior assessors and installers so as to spend the least amount of money while charging a fortune for premiums.
Your after care service is beyond shocking!! I have been waiting for a replacement for my freezer for months. No apology, no phone call, just pathetic emails usually on response to me calling or emailing you. Not good enough.
Renasa underwrites MediPet. As of 1st December 2019 my dogs chronic care premium will increase from R540 to R1130. Over 50% increase. What do I get in exchange? Nothing.... In fact I'm penalized because now there is an 18% excess on every claim. They have over extended themselves and those of us on chronic plans are suffering. 50% increase!!! This is day light robbery. R540 a month was just manageable for me.... R1130 is outrageous!!! But wait... Apparently I have options.. All of which give me much less than I currently am getting for higher premiums. OK fine... Lets take my dog off chronic and put him on the standard option which still gives me R5000 a year towards rehab for his hip dysplasia. Nope... Can't do that because then his HD will not be covered EVEN THOUGH he was covered for HD for at least two years before I (not medipet) increased his cover to chronic. What does this all boil down to? Greed. Judging from your shocking reviews with regard to your company in general you're doing really badly and are needing to pull money in by every way possible.
A section of our ceiling has fallen down in our lounge. There was no water damage. The standard Bank assessor came and his report was that the ceiling boards were too thick and the nails too short and because of that they won't pay to have it fixed. That ceiling has been there for 40 years. When we insured the house that ceiling was there. Standard Bank insured the house as is. We've paid our premiums every month for years and years and have hardly claimed. I've had a bank account with Standard since I was a child. My whole family banks with them. Now that we really need their help they have let us down badly. I really don't understand what house insurance is for if not to help with these unexpected things. We will look into changing insurance companies as we can't afford to pay premiums to a company that is not interested in helping us.
My parked, unoccupied car was hit by a Bakkie. To speed up repairs I went through Outsurance instead of their insurers. Outsurance will happily claim the excess back from the guilty party but my no claim bonus will be affected!!! Why? Because they are 'paying out'. I drive carefully, I pay my premiums on time but should I claim because of someone else's bad driving, I'm penalized.
