I am extremely disappointed with the level of service received from this agency. Communication has been consistently poor. Queries go unanswered, follow-ups are required repeatedly, and matters that should be straightforward become unnecessarily drawn out. Despite escalating concerns, there has been little to no resolution. What is particularly frustrating is that commission is deducted without fail, yet the level of service provided does not reflect the professional standards one would expect in return. As a landlord, I rely on my managing agent to communicate clearly, act proactively, and handle matters efficiently. Unfortunately, this has not been my experience. I hope this review encourages improved communication and accountability going forward.

Having worked in customer service, I’ve always vowed to be understanding towards customer service agents, sales reps, POS workers, and anyone in similar roles — no matter how poor the service may be. But after dealing with agents from other rental agencies and seeing how consistent and honest their communication is, I feel I have to speak up. My experience with PropertyCoZa, and specifically with Marianne Rautenbach, has been extremely disappointing and an example of genuinely unacceptable customer service. There was no communication about the rental process, no acknowledgement of recent messages, and in the few instances where I did receive a response with a promise to get back to me, that promise was not kept. I paid an application fee for both myself and my partner, only to end up feeling like I’ve been ****med — and to be honest, I still feel that way. To this day, I haven’t heard back from Marianne. No email, no update, nothing. Really, really poor.

Worst overall service received from their agent. When we were purchasing the property, the agent informed us that the apartment is in good condition and nothing was damaged. When the keys were handed over, we discovered that the apartment is in an extremely poor, untidy and damaged state. Several things were broken, missing, or in need of repair (e.g. the front door lock was broken. We were forced to leave the apartment open). The agent did not even do an inspection of the property before selling it. It is costing us so much of money to renovate the apartment. The transfer of the property took forever to go through. The agent did not even have the courtesy of keeping us updated during the process. Every time we contacted her for an update and reason for the delay, she made up different excuses. It was just all LIES!! The handing over of the keys was disorganised, poorly communicated and upsetting. The agent that sold the property to us was not present to handover the keys. We had to sit at the apartment and wait like ‘beggars’ for the keys to OUR apartment. We were not even congratulated or given a thank you gift from this company. We are truly upset and disheartened with the way we were treated. Our day was spoiled. I have lodged a complaint with the sales manager of property.coza about the agent and the overall experience but yet again excuses were made and nothing was done about the issues we faced. I will never recommend this company to anyone. They are ****s and their agents deceive people into buying properties from them.

The most horrific experience with agents Bruce Henman and partner ****son from the Kyalami area. Didn't bother pitching up for the viewing or bothering to get back to me. Absolutely disgusting!

The agent assumed through a 1 minute WhatsApp call that I wasn’t financially stable. She did not believe my answers , and instead of verifying my employment, credit score etc she just interrupted me rudely and said “ No !” , a year later the property is still there , obviously I went with another agency. Extremely disappointed by the lack of professionalism. Simply asking for my details would verify , instead she assumed based on something I will never know.
