My name is Tumelo Abel Mkwa****, My problem is i just bought a Brand New Car expecting peace little did i know that i would instead suffer. I bought a brand new Car on the 16 January 2026 i was happy with it until on the 28 January 2026 the car had issues with what i think was the gearbox i called the dealer for assistance since the car was still under warranty, he then sent me people from Vereeniging to take the car in for inspection and repairs. until now i still dont know what is the problem with the car, i dont have a car to go to work with i use taxis to get by but i bought a brand new car. Am a frustrated individual where i am.

I am utterly disgusted by my experience. Renault's incompetence is about to cost me dearly. My barely one-year-old, 29,000km vehicle developed suspension issues. The dealership claimed nothing was wrong and simply 'torqued' it. Fast forward 10,000km, the suspension is making alarming noises, and they refuse warranty coverage. They unauthorizedly 'torqued' the suspension, compromising manufacturing standards, and now expect me to pay for their mistake. Avoid new Renault vehicles at all costs. Mine is barely two years old, meticulously cared for, and falling apart. I will expose their poor craftsmanship on YouTube and TikTok, complete with documentation. Instead of honoring the warranty and incurring costs like they should as that is why you have a warranty, Silverlakes Renault dealer resort to shoddy repairs and patch ups. Keep up the atrocious work and below low standards.

What a horrible place! I am so sad that I bought a Renault Kiger because Renault Silvelakes is just shocking. Really. I took my car for his annual service on 30 000km and got a call for 21k. I was so shocked I went and got a second opinion and Renault told me that even my samp had to be replaced and it was thousands. On second opinion the people told me it is not necessary at all. I went back and they also said it is not necessary. After that they also told me my stabilizer bar had to be replaced as well After they replaced that my wheel alignment was severly off and suddenly my left shock has to be replaced and they refuse to pay for it. Now I have to pay R4000 for ONE shock. I will NEVER advise anyone to go there as the reviews are HORRIBLE and they treat woman horribly.

My daughter bought a Renault Kiger from Renault Silver Lakes and was promised that with her extended warrantee and service plan she would have peace of mind for 5 years. The car is around 7 months old and has had regular problems from the day she took delivery of it. The problems range from a dead battery, temp meter reading one point below boiling to various alert readings on the instrument panel. The latest problem is charge system fail which she phoned them about and was told they can't do anything about it the vehicle must come in and she will need to pay for the repair. She was also informed she would not receive a courtesy vehicle. Needless to say the vehicle broke down on a very busy street and not even the Hazard lights would work. I phoned Silver lakes and spoke to Annelize who politely told me she can't do anything for my daughter as everybody has left to go home. She gave me the roadside assist number to phone and didn't even offer to assist with getting roadside assist to go out to the vehicle. She plainly just did not care. I managed to get hold of roadside assist who informed me they would try to call and locate my daughter. Putting this all into perspective a vehicle bought with a extended warrantee is 7 month old and constantly having problems and Renault Silver lakes service manager who is supposed to take care of their clients just does not care. THIS IS A REALLY BAD IMAGE FOR RENAULT VEHICLES IN SOUTH AFRICA THAT THE DEALER WHO PROMISED SO MUCH ACTUALLY DOES NOTHING TO KEEP THEIR PROMISES MADE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING SIGNED FOR. CLEARLY IF THIS IS THE RELIABILITY AND SERVICE BACKUP OF RENAULT IT IS BETTER TO STEER AWAY FROM RENAULT AND DON'T EVER BUY THEIR PRODUCT.
