Based on recent customer reviews, Renewonline draws sharply mixed sentiment from customers using its vehicle licence disc renewal service. A recurring theme among satisfied customers is the convenience of avoiding traffic department queues, with some praising swift turnaround through Spar and Postlink outlets. However, dissatisfied customers consistently mention extended delays well beyond promised timelines, poor communication once documents leave the outlet, unexpected additional fees, and considerable difficulty securing refunds. Frustrations around unresponsive accounts staff and disputed charges feature prominently, leaving many customers questioning whether the convenience justifies the fee.

Be very weary of this company. They usually operate via Spar stores. Requested a renewal in Feb. I have two vehicles. Vehicle 1 was renewed fine. Vehicle 2 was not renewed. Followed up continuously. They now ask for an additional payment, claiming that Vehicle 1 is not licensed (they issued the disc to me). Money making scheme!!!

I renewed my Hilux licence with assistance from RENEWONLINE AKASIA. After some 3 weeks I was told to trace the renewal myself despite paying for their services. I was then informed about the TRAFFIC Infringements payable. After paying the amount they stated, they tried to hide a further cost of R100 which was apparently their fees. Dishonesty is your downfall !!

Dissatisfied I have been issued with a faded disc and when I request a reprint i am told i have to pay an extra fee whereas is their mistake, i have been asking them to fix it, they telling me the barcode is clear but the license no and other number are faded. Why should i pay an extra amount, this is uncalled for.

Bad service, lack of communication, and just inability to use common sense. I thought i was saving time by using their services but 25 days later i still don't have my disc. I renewed the licence of my grey car on the 19th December 2025 and i was told i will get it 3 working days later. That did not happen and there was no communication. I went to check on the 5th of January 2026. I was then told i owe extra R1300 ( because on the system they wrote month 11 instead of the month 01 indicated on the disc i handed. i was annoyed, not because of a human error but that was not communicated to me i had to find that out when i went to check on my 10 working days late disc ( SO WHAT IS THE SERVICE EXTRA, WE ARE PAYING FOR THEN ??. On the same day i also renewed my Renault disc because it was late. yesterday the Renault disc was renewed but the grey car was not renewed because it was held back by the Renault, really??. What stupidity is that, how is the car's disc renewal held back by a disc of a car you just renewed? Payments for both cars were made on the same day, to the same company, the same system. commonsense! is that too much to ask. I thought i was saving myself few hours waiting on the traffic department lines, and here i am 25 days later still waiting for a service i was promised will be completed in 3 days.

I have a refund due to me. After numerous calls and emails they just give the same answer. Before we went on December break I contacted them and asked about it and they said that it had been processed (after it was apparently processed previously as well) and that it should clear on the 24th. I have yet to receive my refund. Banking details were sent and co formed on November 24. I use this company for all our fleet renewals and this is just the most pathetic service I have received. All they say is it is being processed or already processed but nothing happens. It took 4 months the previous time to receive a refund!
