We paid for Full Protection car insurance with Rentalcover.com and assumed that we would be fully covered if we were involved in an accident. We unfortunately were involved in a minor accident. Proof of final damages invoice (R12 924.42) was paid by us to the car hire company on 7/5/2025. We then submitted a claim on 10/5/2025 to Rentalcover.com with all requested documentation. To-date we are still waiting for reimbur*****t. Why is this taking so long??? When we try to follow up on our claim we receive generic responses via e-mail and have yet to speak to a consultant ...... Very frustrating!

This is the worst Rental Cover Insurance Company that you may come across. I am waiting for over 2 1/2 months to have a claim finalised. You cannot get hold of them telephonically as well as by email. The response you get by email is auto generated which is extremely frustrating. This full cover was booked through Bookings.com who are unwilling to assist. Do not use this Company they are bad bad news!! Extremely ***********!!

This is the worst Rental Cover Insurance Company that you may come across. I am waiting for over 2 1/2 months to have a claim finalised. Do not deal with this Company. There are no Contact numbers to deal with a representative. When you email them you get a generic response and not at all relevant to what you are asking. We took out excess cover online for car hire in Europe - not easy to find for South Africans. This was a simple process and much cheaper than the excess reduction cover offered by the rental company. We returned the car with minor damage and were charged an estimated amount. We put in a claim and rentalcover.com reimbursed us within two days. The car rental company then sent us a bill for the balance of the excess - panic stations since we had already claimed. We forwarded the email to rentalcover.com and they reimbursed us overnight. What a pleasure to deal with this company!

I was involved in an accident on 19 May 2023 and the lady shared that she is covered with this Insurance company. On the website it states that claims are resolved in 3 days and to date I have not received a single call from them. Can someone please assist-there are no contact details on the website.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! I have sent numerous emails to them about a double deduction and I simply do not get a response back. There is no telephone number listed for them on their website or with Telkom. A bunch of crooks!!

I booked a car rental on this companies online website and the process was great. The problem is that I subsequently changed the number of days rental and at that time was immediately debited for the full (new period's) insurance. When I enquired about the refund for the old period I was told it can take up to 21 days if done by a third party. It is now 6 weeks later and despite a number of emails I have not received the refund. My last two email remain unanswered. There is no telephone number listed so only emails available to try and resolve a query

What a shocking company with poor service. They refused to pay a fraudulant card debit by the Centauro car rental company, despite promising to pay all claims if car rental company overcharges, or falsely debits your account with no approval. All proof was provided, but I was just told its between me and the rental company, even after explaining that they ignore all my e-mail's. They take your money, but have no intention of paying your claim. The one consultant, Ben, just stopped corresponding with me despite repeated e-mails asking him to respond or elevate it to a higher level. They also don't have a telephone number that you can contact them with, so how do you contact them when you need roadside assistance. You can also only claim retrospectively after your rental is over, so you have already paid costs which they go to all lengths to not to pay. Disgraceful.
