Slowest course in Joburg, every round we have played has been over 5hrs. Please put marshals on the course. Had to finish in the dark today after over 5h30 on the course, waiting for one 4 ball, many people behind us would not have been able to finish their rounds today.

Absolute worst golfing experience ever... A must read to show how ridiculous these people are... Been playing golf for over 25 years and played basically all courses in JHB and never had any issues but my latest (and definitely my last round at Ruimsig...OMG) Firstly...during their mid-week competition day you are forced to pay the comp fee... regardless if you wish to participate or not, payment is non negotiable. Then God help you if the 4 ball ahead of you decide not to stop over at the halfway house at the turn but your 4 ball does... once you get to tee box to start your back 9, you will be rudely informed by the arrogant course marshal that you are a hole behind and that you need to speed up or forfeit the hole so as to catch up to the 4 ball ahead...no use trying to explain that the guys ahead skipped the halfway house and they in fact are a hole ahead and its not us that are a hole behind..we not playing slowly nor holding the field up but the explanation fell on deaf ears and we got harassed by this marshal over the next 4 holes. Eventually we got "gat-vol" of this guy and told him off a bit and he rides away..a couple of minutes later we see him come back with some chap from the pro shop and with 2 x security guards riding their 2 vehicles down the fairway towards us.. Needless to say things got a bit heated between us, the marshal and the chap from the pro shop but the 2 security guards stayed in their vehicles just watching this debacle unfold.. we were then also accused of drinking alcohol on the course during lockdown..please note that Nartjie Energade and Coke Zero is considered alcoholic beverages at Ruimsig. At this point we've had enough and decided to end the round and continue this discussion at the pro shop and demand our money back..after much discussion they reluctantly agreed and we got half a refund back but still with the arrogance that we were in the wrong.. What a bunch.... totally ridiculous and totally uncalled for...txs for ruining what was a pleasant golf day until that point Ruimsig.. you wont see me nor any of my golfing mates at Ruimsig ever again and all this because of a illogical and arrogant marshal...

Extremely dissapointing and frustrating round of golf which made our experience an absolute waste of time and of R570. We went off on the 1st tee at 12:24 (originally scheduled 12:32) just for us to play 3 hours 15 min on the front nine. No marshall in sight and eventually we found a marshall on the 9th tee box. We asked him to please get on the course and see where the problem is but he just ignored us and drove off. We got to the halfway house and there were people sitting down to eat instead of a grab and go principle being applied. We eventually started the back 9 at 15:55pm. The pace of play continued and we ended up playing 4 holes and decided to leave. Extremely poorly managed golf course and Sundays are just a extra money making day and not treated with paying players in mind. Course itself is in decent condition.

I played my one and only round for the month of October on Saturday at RCC only to find that 60% of the Greens was in really bad shape. Ball hitting the green and literally bouncing off. I couldn't believe that the club didn't give any warning of this defect as they usually pretty good with this sort of thing. I felt like I didn't enjoy the round and yet I even cancelled Eagle Canyon for RCC just because I so like the Club. Common folks we pay a premium to play on your course and would appreciate some value for the money we spend.
