Phoned to cancel my policy's as my broker no longer recommends them, was told to cancel in writing. Sent them a email to request cancellation - No reply Sent them a second email, attached with a cancellation letter which my new insurer issued to me to forward to them, together with my ID and Drivers license as instructed by the new insurer. Still no reply. They simply do not respond to emails to confirm the cancellation. Email addresses used as listed on their website: SHORTTERM@CAMPHER.CO.ZA ADMIN@CAMPHER.CO.ZA Policy Number: 6664-0021749

I am very upset with the way that my brokers is dealing with my first ever home content claim. I've reported my laptop bag that was stolen inside of my house. They've asked for proof of purchase, and I've send them the tax invoices from my company which reflected the purchases of the equipment. They replied today, two weeks later: We regret that "Chantal" does not work for the company, and that her partner is the director of the said company. We also require proof that the Ipad was blacklisted and the cell phone. I did not even had a cell phone on the list of stolen goods, and I do work for the company, 12 years still going, and my partner is not a director. I really don't understand why they would have such an irrelevant reply to a simple claim logged. Sad to say, but nowhere in the policy documentation does it states to have copies of slips for goods purchased. I now wonder if I should take photo's of my clothes, my TV's, beds, linen and anything that would be classified under the home contents. Insurance is just so impossible when you have to submit a claim. They would only then inform you of all the requirements and they keep quite as you happily pay to be insuranced, but not knowing that they make it impossible for you to claim. Even the smallest claim that I've logged recently. I dont have confidence or a trust relationship with the brokers anymore. I cannot believe that a company can be so pethetic, and unproffesional. I dont know why they had to make personal comments regarding my employment, or my partner, and add things on my list of stolen goods, that I've not added. Cannot wait to find a short term broker to replace this company.
