I have made a booking on Booking.com to stay at Sandton Executive Suites. The day before I had to check in, the hotel staff called me and told me that they do not have electricty due to a technical problem and asked if I wanted to cancel. I told them to cancel as there was no hot water and they only had candles. I have sent mails to them and have been struggling for almost 4 years anf have got no response from booking.com or from the Hotel. Pathetic service

Title: Unacceptable Treatment and Refusal of Service at Hydro Park Residences On August 21, 2024, at 7:30 AM, I experienced appalling treatment from Hydro Park Residences in Sandton. Despite having paid for my apartment, they refused to let me stay because I didn't have an ID document. This is unacceptable and discriminatory. Crucially, they only inform you that a physical ID is required on the day of check-in AFTER you've made payment. This deceptive practice traps customers and sets them up for failure. I even offered to email them a copy of my ID document, but they still refused. They insisted I get an affidavit, which I attempted to do, but the police station was full and hot. As a working professional, I had to return to work and couldn't spend hours waiting in line at a public police station or finding a place to print my ID copy. They claim they gave me "ample time," which to them meant just the morning and afternoon. This shows a complete lack of understanding of working people's schedules and obligations. To make matters worse, they flatly refused to refund my money, leaving me stranded on the pavement with nowhere to go. Their lack of compassion and professionalism is shocking. I was forced to book a more expensive accommodation through Booking.com at the last minute, causing me significant financial stress and inconvenience. I demand an immediate and full refund of my payment, plus compensation for the additional expenses I incurred due to their unprofessional behavior. Their actions are not only ********* but potentially *******. To potential guests, especially first-timers: BEWARE. Do not even consider Hydro Park Residences. Their policies are inflexible, their customer service is non-existent, and they will go out of their way to ruin your day. They will take your money and leave you high and dry without a second thought. They should not be listed on Booking.com or any other accommodation platform. I urge management to address this issue immediately and make things right. Your treatment of paying customers is disgraceful and needs to change. Rating: 1/5 stars (lowest possible rating)

We booked in from 13 to 17 may. Hydro park Sandton suite 818. We read the rules and no where did it say anything about imposing a fine if rules are not followed or how much one will be fined or electricity been cut off. We were fined R2000 and electricity cut off, they demanded we pay this amount in order for the electricity to be turned on. When I asked for proof showing electricity was cut off.. No response. All they wanted was the money. Security works hand in hand with thr host. As it is a money a king racket. Security is useless.. Rude.. Arrogant.. The hosts promised everything in the apartment is working and the place is clean. Security could not get out biometrics to work. Wasted an hour or more with them on check in and All they did was grin. Netflix did not work.. Excuse.. We will check Dryer did not work.. Excuse not part of apartment Infested with ****roaches Loose electric wire exposed. . All they want to do is rip people off.. When questioned about the fine.. And asking for this to be shown in their rules.. No response. We going legal with our case.. These people are ****mers.. *******.. Avoid this place.. Their are better cleaner apartments elsewhere. I wish we never booked their.. Wonder how they sleep at night.. But what goes around comes around..

The security guards are the worst i have ever experienced! When booking in one of our guests did not have their ID’s with them and they refused entry! When we booked, we were asked to send ID copies and were never told to bring ID’s with! Very unprofessional

Worst management ever. Have been completely cut off from the internet because management only allow internet access via 1 isp they choose and then on top of it they decide to ruin that relationship and now everyone is cut off from the internet!!

The security staff is rude , unprofessional , disrespectful , racist and abusive. I moved in a month ago and ready to give in my notice. The security acts like they doing you a favour by doing their job particularly if you black. I have never felt so humiliated by these @ssholes. They even said I can complain nothing will happen hence they treat black residents as they do. I would not recommend this complex to my worst enemy, absolute BS service…

This place is a nightmare and a scam frankly...after booking and paying for your booking they ask you to pay R500 key fee knowing that you can't cancel well that's nothing their check in takes 2 hours
