Shell Ultra Management Estcourt, KZN (Northbound) must be about the worst entity to deal with when it comes to public safety, in my view. A public hazard concern was reported to the Manager and his team on duty early in January 2026. It appeared that they were oblivious to the hazard, yet they worked on the premises. The hazard appeared to be there for a very long time as per the photo's and video footage which I reported and sent to Shell SA. On 29/01/2026 I followed up with an email to see whether the hazard/problem was resolved/fixed and from thereon forward, I had sent subsequent emails and then finally escalating the matter in March 2026. I received an email from a Mr Thabo Elephant requesting that feedback be provided to me and since then the Manager/Owner a certain Mr Thuthuka Makhanya and/or Mr Myeni at Shell Ultra Estcourt KZN (Northbound) have avoided the issue and failed to respond further on whether the hazard was removed from their premises. It is now May 2026 and no further correspondence or report has been provided - the matter has just gone silent and if I were not a concerned citizen of this country then I would have just given up on this but it is my strong view that people of this caliber do not care about the well-being and safety of SA citizens, all they care about is their business interests. Until I had the escalated the matter, I was ignored and my emails and follow ups went unanswered. It is clear that the Shell SA's platforms for raising public concerns do not work ('generalpublicenquiries-za@shell.com'). I would strongly urge the public to be cautious at Shell Ultra Estcourt KZN (Northbound), as the premises is not safe. I will not use this facility as a stopover between Johannesburg and Durban to ensure the safety of my loved ones!!!

On the 06/05/2026 I went to fill my car at 18:52. The gauge didn't move to show that I have added petrol. I try to complain to the attendance his name is Felix and he was so rude and told me that my car gauge is now working. I took the to matter the manager the following day and I was told the other manager will look into the footage and call me, they never on the same week Friday I went back to the filling station the other manager was rude also and told me that my car has a problem must go check it, their employee did fill in the petrol. Same day I went to another filling station my gauge was fine. They ddnt want to admit their fault because I am a woman and the most promised to beat me if I don't leave their office

I was on my way to Gauteng when I decided to get to shell garage( midway) only to be served by a drunk petrol attended, who was very rude, he even said he wishes that we get involved in a car accident. We took the matter to the supervisor who seemed to have no power. He couldn't even reprimand the perpetrator. I want you to deal with that guy before he even cause more damage. We don't feel safe to even get his services while we still have to drive long distances

I would like to pass my deepest sadness to the service I got at one of your Shell Garages - 358 Riffle Range Road, Gillview. I went to fill up my tank Sunday evening the 10th of May 2026 and was assisted Dwayne who I asked to please check if the oil and water level was still okay and he checked and confirmed that the oil was low. I then asked him to top up, but neverthless as a female driver i wouldn't then verify to check if he did his due diligence check as I will be trusting that all is in order. Monday morning as I was driving to work my car has a different sound which i noticed as I am the regular driver. I did not think of opening my bonnet to check and i could hear a different type of smell like a burnt tire. Tuesday same routine going to work then I noticed some steam and had to stop and open the bonnet only to find that the petrol attendant did not close the cap on after adding oil, which was spilling all over. That is a big risk I must say as I lost a lot of oil which is still dripping. I passed by the garage this evening (12 May 2026) and asked to see the Manager who completely ignored me and had to be assisted by another Petrol attendant who informed me that Dwayne was off duty and checked the leakage so kind of him. The reason why I wanted to talk to Dwayne was not to scream at him in anyway but to warn him to do a thorough check before clients leave coz one day he will cause a huge damage to someone or cost someone's life. The Manager on duty should also learn good management skills and try to assist client queries than just dismissing, its very sad how he did not even bother to assist in anyway yet my oil is dripping everywhere I stop.
