I had secondhand solar panels added to my existing system by Solnet 2months ago. Yesterday water streamed out where secondhand panels were connected to my existing panels. I fully accepted that there is no warranty on secondhand panels. Although I was charged for labour and new pvc pipes to connect it to my current system. When I requested it to be fixed, I got a quote for R650.00 for call out fee. Also when I called I could hear a lady in the background saying there is no guarantee on secondhand panels, without even nowing where the problem lies. I did send here son a picture where it is clearly visible that the new pipes weren’t glued properly which comes down to poor workmanship! It has absolutely nothing to due with secondhand panels. I was charged to have it fitted and for the new pipes.

Solnet was the third pool solar panel company we contacted to help us with the maintenance of our system. The first two companies told us that our system is irreparable. The team quoted us for the work to be done, made an appointment, and did the repairs with professionalism and enthusiasm. We saw a small leak a week later, and got in touch. The team came back and repaired it once again. They are friendly, responsive, and on time. We had a great experience with this company and I will trust them for solar pipe work in future.

6 Weeks ago Solnet aka Rudi install a solar geyser with GeyserWise management station. My hous eis 2 stories high and evertyhing function fine till the management station is giving E3 and E5 issues and I logged the call on them. I was sold a complete installation and quoted for items with a 5 year warranty and one year on the element. No 6 months later he want to charge me R1250 callout to come and remove the Geyserwise system and replace with new one telling me Geyserwise did not approve them for installing this in my area. And when I told him I bought it from him he laughed and put down the phone in my ear.

Well, I have been here for the first time and I have seen all that is written about Solnet. I have to say that I did not have a bad experience with them. After 3 years my geyser started leaking(still under guarantee). I contacted Rudi and within an hour I received an email from GAP about replacing the geyser. Even GAP was fast with the service but the provider they referred the claim to, Oh Boy!! Waiting 24hours with no response while i sit without any water for the household. But will see if they get back to me and then will report here on that company. So no problem from Solnet's side, I got helped and was even phoned to hear if GAP came back to me on the claim.

Shoddy installation. Leaking terribly. Encountered disgusting arrogance when dealing with the owner (Rudi) to fix their pathetic installation. Have asked to rather have the product removed entirely and to be re-reimbursed - I would prefer not to conduct business with people who operate like this

On 27/02/2020 Solnet removed my existing pool heating panels as it was of 'inferior quality", according to them and replaced it with Platinum Range pool heating paels with a 10 year guatantee, for which I payed R8763. On Friday 22 January 2021 I notice a leak in one of the main feeding pypes and phoned various branches of Solnet for assistance on the following Saturday and Monday, but found myself speaking to their main branch all the time. Seems that although Solnet lists telephone numbers for 8 branches, there is only one. Secondly, when I mentioned the situation to the owner, he said that I must pay a call out fee of R800 plus in advance. When I mentioned the 10 year guarantee, he said that was for when the panel falls apart... so I have to put it out there... is a leak not the start of the product falling apart? I think it's rediculous that a customer has to pay for what was clearly a bad installation! The owner told me that the glue used during installation is not guaranteed - what a joke!!! When I put it to the owner that this may lead to me paying R800 plus annually, he said I have trust issues. He was also only prepared to send a team to my house, if I made full payment IN ADVANCE, which again lead to ME having trust issues apparently. Have you ever... so I pay SPAR first and then I'm allowed to pick my groceries... speak about trust issues. Finally, although I was impressed with initial installation, I'm disgusted with non-existant after sales services. So take note... you get a 10 year guarantee, but has to pay a call-out fee everytime they have to do preparing... R800 x 10 years... so installation of this PLATINUM product can cost up to R16 000. Cheapy.

Very eager to help and installed as promised. For very little more effort they could get a 5 star rating. Mixer valve was faulty and removed, but unfortunately pressure relieve valve blow steam all over electricals and unit keep on tripping. Refuse to fix element that pack up in process. Want to sell R440 element to me for R580. Remove valve and I am still waiting for them to fix illegal installation as mixer valve is legal requirement.. Best not to pay them in full before you are not satisfied.
