Absolutely disgusting – avoid at all costs We stayed at Stelle Maris, Flat 235 from 15–22 December. The flat was infested with ****roaches, dirty, and had a horrible smell from day one. Kitchen utensils, pots, and cutlery were old, filthy, and crawling with ****roaches. The microwave didn’t work, and basic items like a toaster and grater were missing. Management admitted they’ve had a ****roach problem for 3 years. Cleaning is not done unless you pay extra, which is unacceptable given the condition of the flat. My husband even woke up with red bites from the bed. We asked to be moved and were told they were fully booked — the only solution offered was Doom. On top of this, our breakage deposit has still not been refunded, despite being overdue. Poor hygiene, poor management, and terrible service. Do not recommend.

To Whom it may Concern, i booked accommodation at Stella Marais holiday flats in Amanzimtoti in September 2025 The accommodation and the staff was very nice. We came all the way from the eastrand to enjoy the holiday. Now i have a big problem getting back my deposit from them. i have send numerous emails and phone calls to them, every time its the same story, finance is busy with it, or the payment has been processed. Today is the 06 November 2025 and still no deposit was paid back. more than a month later. This is unacceptable

Given substandard Holiday Accommodation flat as compared to the photos shared with me. Ms A( for this report name is withheld as per POPIA) Background I have been visiting Stella Marais(obo Solver Properties),for over five years now through White Coral Letting and had no problems with the accommodation, until now December 2024. My family and I had planned this holiday for months ,communication was done through email and photos of the place was shared via WhatsApp. We accepted the place on the premises of being satisfied with the place(as per photos). Only when we arrive at Stella Marais (obo Solver Properties),I am told my apartment is changed (after travelling ****ms). We had no other place to go and had to accept this place under duress. The following I would like to state on record: - 1. The accommodation given to us was less than standard:- • Place was full of sand. • Stove was not in good order. • Oven was full of fish smell. • Kitchen had no frying pan. • There was no fans,( we had to resort to buy one). • Front balcony door curtain was broken, almost falling off,(complained to Ms A on 04 January 2024 and nothing was done till we left). • 2nd Bedroom window was broken. • Bathroom tub was stained badly. • Sand was throughout the unit even after cleaning. • The main bedroom bed made noises as if something inside was broken. 2. Theo gave me the following explanations:- a. There was two Colin’s(how possible is it to mix up, my name and surname clearly mentioned). b. The second was she stated it was put on my Proof of Payment, but to date I have not received it, also why was I told and photos shared of new place. 3. Escalation to the following:- a. Manager on duty(only responded he will sort out with, which is not accepted by me) b. Other managers as well(Names withheld as per POPIA) e. A lady on the next-door office ,who says she handles the Body Corporate matters(Ms C). There is also a matter ethical and moral standards:- 1. When we arrived at Stella Marais(obo Solver Properties),Ms A...(at reception) clearly states that apartment 235 is much better than 163,which is grossly untruthful(how can employees behave in this manner to customers). In conclusion Stella Marais (obo Solver Properties) have caused me financial inconvenience to me and my family and should have responded appropriately and timeously.

We went there as family,everything was fine until we went to braai as we couldn't find picnic facilities nearby. We played music whilst we braai and the security guard came and said it loud and we decreased the volume according to venues specification. There is a pub on the yard the security went and spoke to the white guy afterwards he came back to us rudely and switched off the music, we demand to see the manager when he came he was rude and ******s and threaten to kick us out whith the Tactical team and further told us that we are a nuisance. We were rudely told that we are not important in that venue by the manager who is a white guy,that place is for non whites.

We booked a 5 day holiday a Stella Marais holiday apartments in Amanzimtoti Kwazulu Natal and i t was in the lock down period where beaches were only open on certain days and people were canceling their bookings left right and centre in all holiday apartments because beaches were to be closed over certain dates. I was phoned and told i could come in a day earlier as the flat was empty. Flat no 21. We spent 8 hours on the road and arrived at 15.00 got the key from security. What a shock we got on entering the apartment. The stove was grimey. I wouldnt cook on or in it or eat any out of it. There were 3 small cups and 3 small glasses and that was it. My husband went downstairs to a shop and bought 3 beer glasses. The bed was like an ironing board. I went down to reception the next day and told then this is not cutting it at R1600 a day. They sent housekeeping up and even they were appalled. They agreed to credit our glasses wich didnt happen. They had a cancelation and asked me if i wanted to have a look at number 87 which i did and took at once. Place was well equiped and clean. It was the ceo or something like that of Stella Marais who i have had a run in with before. His name is gert. So i get visitors with 3 small children who have the runs, and the one toilet breaks. I go down the next day and report it. The handy man phones me and up we go and he says ok he will be back now now. His now now was 3 days later a day before we left. My husband got sick and we feared covid. So we left a day sooner. I dont want a refund for that i want a refund for the two days we sat in that flat waiting for the handy man
