Best moving company
Moving worldwide with Sterdts Relocations is the best choice that I have ever made. From moving to just around the corner or to the utmost parts of the world, be it moving just a box or an entire container, Sterdts has done it all. My dealing with Sterdts for the many many years has been a pleasure and has always given me a peace at mind. Honesty, integrity and transparency is the norm of the day. Gert and his entire team are always willing to go the extra mile to help and assist wherever, never been rude at any one time. Prompt response and efficency is one of their golden rules. All the best Sterdts and the wonderful team, from management to sales, the operations personnels and the packing teams are exceptionally good. Many blessings for 2026 and the future ahead.

Best moving company

Best shipping company ever!
Sterdts is one of the best companies I ever worked with. I deal with them since 2019. They know what to do and also know shipping. One very important aspect about shipping you need to deal with companies and staff that know what shipping all is about. I will refer them to anyone. When times is tuff, they stand with you. They are very professional!

Best shipping company ever!
Sterdts is one of the best companies I ever worked with. I deal with them since 2019. They know what to do and also know shipping. One very important aspect about shipping you need to deal with companies and staff that know what shipping all is about. I will refer them to anyone. When times is tuff, they stand with you. They are very professional!

Working with Sterds has honestly been one of the easiest parts of our import process. Their communication is quick, clear and on point, and they always keep me updated without me having to follow up. When we had a small delay with a forwarder, they sorted it out immediately and kept everything moving. Pricing is fair, the service is consistent, and they’ve proven that they can handle both sea and air freight without any issues. Can genuinely recommend them — reliable team, good service, and they get things done.

Working with Sterds has honestly been one of the easiest parts of our import process. Their communication is quick, clear and on point, and they always keep me updated without me having to follow up. Sterdts. Disappointing service experience.
I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received from Sterdts, a company I trusted to ship my household goods overseas. Despite rave reviews, my experience was marred by poor communication, extra costs and eventual unfulfilled delivery service ( Ras group Ireland). After 11 months of waiting, I was told that they couldn't fill the original 40ft container and I had the option to wait an unspecified time until it was filled ( paying extra storage insurance ) or change to a smaller 20ft container shared with 5 other waiting clients, in the same boat as it were. My additional charge for this shared option was R14.000 for my 4cbm. 50% more . My original shipment was also a shared container, the size was determined by Sterdts. The promised delivery services were not provided. We had to help carry the goods into the house. The packaging was not removed as agreed upon, and contents checked. This oversight could lead to issues when claiming insurance for damaged or lost items. In my case 2 whole boxes were missing, and I later discovered they were never shipped. Evasive and obfuscatory email communication was stressful. Their conveyed vague accounting system was challenging. A small refund was offered for my missing boxes, as an apology for their bad service that did not correlate with the glowing reviews, and advertised assurances of unparalleled service delivery. To avoid similar experiences I recommend; Don't rely solely on reviews. ( I can corroborate this review with another Sterdts client using the same container) Insist that an agent visits your premises for an accurate quote. A thumb suck quote from a WhatsApp video or photos is not recommended. Don't accept that a volume will only be accurate when goods are packed. Verify every items dimensions .Create your own inventory list with photos. All boxes are numbered. Make your own list of the contents of each box. The packers descriptions are inaccurate. If shared, ask for original container size. Ask how long it will take to fill it and request a reasonable delivery timeframe. Validate who the delivery company is on the other side, and that they comply with your contract. Insist on a detailed breakdown of all charges. In writing. Question any vague additional charges. Ask relevant questions if you are not sure about something. Get comparable quotes for your specific goods, timeously, giving you time to make a good and informed decision.

Great international relocator if you don't mind unexpected extra costs.
Based on positive reviews, we requested Sterdts (PTY) LTD to transport our household belongings from Cape Town to Spain. The commercial department of Sterdts responded fast and accurate on our request and questions. That was until we complained. Then they started hiding behind their logistical department. That department forgot to book a container for our relocation. As a result they had to use another liner that shipped the container with our goods from Cape Town to Spain via SINGAPORE. For this ‘service’ they charged ZAR 22.000 above the originally agreed price and the total transfer time increased from a planned 4-5 weeks to 13 weeks. To ensure payment, our goods were held ransom. Only after all extra charges were paid, the goods were delivered with (a lot of) minor damage. So if you want your goods to arrive at their final destination in fair condition and don’t mind a lot of unexpected and unnecessary extra costs, Sterdts is the company to go to.
