Queenswood superspar the worst experience. Why do you let incapable people by franchises. Ordered spar2u Monday they called and said they mayonnaise is finished but they can give another brand. I said no because first of all the product was not out of stock on the app app and dedicated shop was Queenswood spar. Right so the lady said they can hold the order and call me Tuesday with an update. Tuesday come and no phone call, I called the afternoon 17:00 and the lady that should of called was off the Tuesday what a lovely suprise she did not arrange her responsibilities have been handed over. I mean they are in customers service but that's just my opinion maybe I'm wrong. The ladu from Tuesday promised to call Wensday no call, I then called again the afternoon to find out they kept me hanging on the line for 5mins not getting anyone. I eventually got to the stock department and the guy gave my number to the floor manager of Queenswood spar. Guys please we all need work but have training with them. We all need space to learn and want to learn. Right he will get back. Then a lady called and promised stock would of arrived yesterday late and they will send my package today at 5 pm. Can you guess no call no package. So Mr Manager or owner og the store are you not aware of what's happening in your on business or do you just not mind such service. Because if you don't need our money then please just say it. Close the doors or have a meeting with your staff. Realistically this is the worst service ever I have received. In the meanwhile I needed to buy mayonnaise because it's day 4. Stop spar2u at your outlet because you are incapable to meet the services standards and have no control of your whereabouts. Head office spar is this really the type of people you get to by in your business. Is this the type of service you would recommend to clients and providing it to the best of your abilities. This is unacceptable and money has been sent right away of the order. We cannot come to spar and pick items and only pay for them in 4days. Go back to the drawing board this is not working.

While shopping yesterday, came across tinned tomatoes priced at R12,99 on the shelf so yay, loaded 12 tins into my trolley. At the checkout counter I saw that the tins were registering as R25,99, upon which I queried the price. The packer was sent to confirm the price, and after returning to the counter, the cashier tried to correct the price at the till, but couldn't get the transaction right so she called the Supervisor. The Supervisor also wanted to confirm the price on the shelf and upon her return and "yara-yaraing" in her African language with her colleagues, asked me to accompany her to the shelf to confirm that the price was actually R25,99. The price was now higher and had been changed leaving me to query if I was off my head as I had definitely seen the lower price otherwise I would not have packed in 12 items. I apologised for being incorrect, subsequently left the 12 tins but upon reflection, realised what had transpired. The packer must have confirmed that the price was R12,99, otherwise the cashier would not have tried to correct the transaction. The supervisor had obviously changed the price and made me to feel that I was in the wrong. SHAME ON YOU SPAR for your dishonest dealings with your customers! Next time, just be honest, say that a mistake had been made in the pricing, but don't make me out to be in the wrong!

Quality and selection of products have gone down over the past year. Vegetables and fruit doesn't last longer than 2-4 days. I've notice that lots of products are not avaliable and/or out of stock. Today was the cherry on the cake!!! I bought some Quality Street chocolates . The chocolates were unedible, it was all white and fillings were dried up. I've returned it to the shop, requesting to swop it. Opened the "new" pack... same issue. When I asked the manager to removed it from the shelves, his answer to me was" The sell by date on it was May 2025 and they can still sell it!!!! Day light *******.. they are aware that it's no good and still selling it. Clearly they don't care about what they're selling to their customers. People work hard for their money, everything is expensive and we are still getting cheated by places like Spar Queenswood. It was always my go to shop for the past 8 years but NO more.

On 16 March 2025 went to spar to buy some items. I wanted to buy a strainer but it couldn't scan and the cashier called the supervisor (Elizaberth) for assistance. The supervisor took the strainer and went to check the price. She came back put the price manually and left. I asked the cashier how will I know if I am paying the correct amount because it was showing non food item instead of strainer. The cashier called the supervisor who didn't even greet me the first time she was called and she just told the cashier to cancel the strainer and left. I asked again the cashier what does the cancelation mean and the supervisor is called for the third time. She sent other lady to go check with the manager. All these instances she never said anything to me, the next thing she tells the cashier to cancel everything and attend the other customers. I was shocked because I am waiting there for spar to solve the issue of the price and the supervisor (Elizaberth) just showed me that she has no intentions of talking to me or solving the issues, she only cared about other customers. She didn't have a word with me until I asked her what is her problem and she responded with a stinking attitude.

The store is always well stocked, and all specials are usually available. It is really a pleasure to shop there as the isles are wide and can accommodate 2-way traffic which makes it easy to reach products. The store is always clean and neat. The staff is not always friendly and helpful therefore the 4-star rating.
