*Disappointing Experience at Appetite Restaurant (formerly Tatso)* I recently had the misfortune of dining at Appetite Restaurant, and it was an unmitigated disaster. Despite making a timely booking and paying the requested deposit, we arrived to find that the restaurant had no knowledge of our reservation. To make matters worse, the person we booked through was absent, and no food had been prepared for us. We were forced to wait an unacceptable 4 hours for our meals, which was particularly distressing for our elderly companions who had to wait even longer for their food. The main course was lackluster, and the service was abysmal. This was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience I've ever had. The restaurant's inability to manage bookings, communicate effectively, and provide timely service is appalling. I will not be returning to Appetite . Rating: 1/5 stars

My family and I had booked for 45people to host a surprise party for my Aunt a buffet lunch. We had paid a deposit and when we arrived Tatso in Menlyn did not secure any seats for us, we had to put the chairs and tables together ourselves and setup the entire seating for ourselves. On top of that, we had to WAIT and WAIT and WAIT for the food more so we did not even get the buffet lunch we had asked/booked for. Terrible service!! We really did not appreciate this we service.

I made my dinner reservation at Tatso (Times Square Menlyn) for the 3rd December over a month ago. It was for a special wedding anniversary celebration. I even sent a follow up email 2 days before the reservation date to make sure my reservation was still in order. Nobody responded to me. Then, 2 hours before my reservation you guys called me and told me the dinner has been cancelled. A 2 hours notice is ridiculously unfair and unprofessional!! When I asked your lady what she could do for us to make up for this incompetency and for ruining what was meant to be such a special celebration for me and my husband, all she could say was 'eish. Sorry'. What kind of a response is that?? Any other reputable restaurant would've offered to accommodate us somehow for this negligence, but you guys don't seem to give a **** about customer satisfaction or service delivery. Your company's tagline should be 'eish. Sorry' since thats all you are able to offer. Despicable service from you guys. I will be sharing this experience all over my social media as well. You guys are definitely not a suitable place for special occasions if you can let somebody down at the last minute like this. You are extremely unreliable and *************. People should not risk their special celebrations on you. I am so lucky Square Time restaurant in Faerie Glen was able to accommodate us instead. They did not even have space for us but they still made a plan cause they understood the importance of such an occasion and how to take care of their customers. You should take a page out of their book on what service delivery actually entails cause clearly you guys have no people skills or ability to deliver what you're advertising. You need to go back to the drawing board and start with the basics on how to run your company and have some integrity in the way your branch is representing your franchise. I will be sending all of this to your headoffice as well. Despicable service from you guys. Very pathetic.

We pay upfront money for buffet for the 4th of November so each person was contribute 250 .and we are 60 us unfortunately some will not able to go on the 4th they can only go on the 11th ...so we are 2 group some will go this Saturday cause we already paid the money for 60 people and they said they don't have refund ..so if the don't have refund because the already have money for us poor people ..we decided that half group will go on the 4th to go to eat their 250 and half they will go on the 11 but Tatso give us duck and dive please help us cause we are not happy .we were going there as cancer survivor awareness please help poor people we don't want money but to eat our 250

I have visited tasto for voucher of 2...stood 4 hours in que customerservice system was bad before booking we was told cater 180 people for 2 hours they sold more voucher people was waitng for hours with kids people was cutting Que its money making scam cause if you do not get in certain time you not given a refund the food was terrible raw we waited from 6 got in at 10 pastas all was out chef are so racist its not worth it i wont recommend anyone even for free Wont go back worst food and service ever

Terrible stuff with stinky attitude at Tatso isibaya The variety of food is not that much to begin with but if customer service was above average, I really would not mind. Most of the servers at this place are awful. I went to Tatso on the 24rd of October 2021. The ladies that were serving at the very limited options meat station had a bit of an attitude. They chose how much they dish for people which is outrageous because it's a buffet so supposed to be as much as one wants. And if you ask a piece (just a piece of fish that is already cut in half extra) they make you feel so uncomfortable. This is just wrong because the restaurant is categorized as a buffet and in a buffet, there are no portion limits. But the worst server with the stickiest attitude was the lady at the dessert station. She was so negative, depressing, annoying of them all by far. I did not get her name since she did not have a name tag but she was serving desert between 7;30 and 8:30 PM. She just does not give a ****, you would swear someone forced her to work at this place. I only took half a piece of cheese cake and the smallest slice of carrot cake on a side plate. When I asked her for Soji, she wanted to add it on the side plate but problem is that soji is served with ice cream and I told her she can’t mix two completely different types of desserts, she became so angry you'd swear I had offended her. I really don't understand why people with zero people's skills are made to work with customers in this restaurant, it’s like the management does not give a **** also about the quality of customer service because everyone can see a stinky attitude even from a distance and yet they sweep this under the carpet.

My family and I would like to commend the staff at Tatso in Sibaya, it was a buffet place but they went out of their way making sure that we were comfortable especially since we had kids with us and you know how other guests behave where they see children running around but the staff was accomodative and child friendly. This was on the 25th of February in celebration of our grandmother and uncle's birthday

My family and I would like to commend the staff at Tatso in Sibaya, it was a buffet place but they went out of their way making sure that we were comfortable especially since we had kids with us and you know how other guests behave where they see children running around but the staff was accomodative and child friendly. This was on the 25th of February in celebration of our grandmother and uncle's birthday

The place is beautiful but their website is not giving the full account we booked for lunch at 14h30 only to be told that their buffet closes at 16h00, worst part it was my birthday celebration how on earth will we be there for only 1 hour 30 Min, i was appalled and disappointed really.
