We purchased an engagement ring from Diamond Channel in 2021. The ring was sold to us with what was represented as a lifetime warranty. At no point during the sale were we informed, verbally or in writing, that this “lifetime warranty” was conditional upon mandatory annual inspections. No such limitation appears on the original invoice we received at the time of purchase. In 2023, the ring was brought in for cleaning. It was accepted, serviced, and returned without any indication that the warranty had supposedly lapsed due to a missed inspection in 2022. The first time we were told about this alleged annual inspection requirement was when their workshop broke the ring and liability became an issue. Only then were we presented with an invoice containing additional “terms and conditions”, with no proof that this document was ever provided to or acknowledged by us in 2021. When we requested proof that these material limitations were disclosed upfront, as required under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, none was provided. Instead, we were informed that their “position remains unchanged” and that they would enter into no further correspondence. A warranty that is later limited by conditions that were never clearly disclosed is, at best, poor practice. At worst, it raises serious concerns about transparency and consumer fairness. The most disappointing part has been the after-sales service. Rather than engaging constructively or providing documentary proof, the company has simply closed the door on communication. Consumers should be extremely cautious. If you are promised a lifetime warranty, insist on written confirmation of every single condition before leaving the store. We will be pursuing this matter further through the appropriate consumer protection channels.

I designed and purchased my wedding and engagement ring from the Diamond Channel. When I went to have the ring evaluated in front of me with a gemologist, it turns out that the size and clarity do not match up to the certificates given to me. Absolute *****! I paid for bigger and better and received smaller and bad clarity. I am horrified. I have an appointment tomorrow to get a full refund. Let’s see how that goes.

The worst experience ever!!! 🤬 We made an appointment with our son for his 16th Birthday, which was confirmed only to get there, after spending 1 and 1/2 hours in the traffic on a school/work day, to find that they’ve sold the watch we were there to see!!! I don’t believe they have the watches they advertise and only show you some banged up alternatives hoping you’ll settle for something you don’t want!!! Never in my life again!!! Second hand service or rather or actually no service just a waist of time and energy!!!

Complaint about Diamond Channel Pty Ltd In 2019, I borrowed money against my car from the above company. They installed a tracking device into my car to monitor the car and the agreement was that after I had paid off the loan they would take out the tracking device. They did take out the tracking device after I paid them off in the same year, 2019. Fast forward to the 10th of June, I went to Alexandra to the licensing department to get my NATIS document for my car. The department told me to come back after 21 days to collect it (see attached document). On the 12th of July went to collect the NATIS document. The official at the licensing department told me that Diamond Channel has my document and that I'd have to go to them. I headed to the offices of Diamond Channel in Sandton, Illovo. I was told to contact Greg Lazarus. Greg assisted me when I borrowed the money 3 years ago. Greg carried out installing a tracking device I was aware of this. Greg also obtained my NATIS document and changed the titleholder of my car to Diamond Channel, I had no idea of this. This was not communicated to me. Now, 3 years later, to my surprise Greg seemed to not know what to do to help me. I told him I needed the titleholder of my car to be changed back to my name. This should have been done as soon as I had paid off my loan, I finished paying off my loan the same year I took it out, 2019. On top of acting like he did not know what to do, Greg was very rude over the phone and highly impatient. Seeing as though I was being given the run around, I informed Greg that I would take the matter to the police. In response to this, Greg got very heated to the point of using profanities, specifically the "F" word. I am aware that the fact that I was not told that the company was obtaining my NATIS document and changing my car's titleholder name before doing so is illegal. I also understand that for the company to keep the document and not change the titleholder name immediately after my loan was paid off is also illegal. It has been 3 years. I wonder what kind of administration are they rendering to their customers? What were their motives towards me? They didn't show any remorse in their actions towards me instead they were very angry. They still appear to be giving me the run around.

If this are the same guys as the The watch channel, where Solly is the client facing guy, then consider this review (I was advised at reception that I am going in fact to the Diamond Channel..) : I had a warm dialog on thewatchchannel.co.za with Solly, about looking at a watch i intended to buy and taking 2 expensive and unworn watches to him to consider taking from me. This is when all good things ended.. Solly never pitched for our rescheduled (from yesterday) meeting at 13h00 today. No call, no reschedule, nothing. I was at the right place having at least 2 employees at the seating area telling me that Solly is not in the buiding in a rather cold tone. Eventually i left after 25 minutes of waiting since our appointment time. Don’t think I ever want to deal with this establishment again. Keeping my watches, not buying their no box no papers watch.. I ordered a Emerald cut Tourmaline for my wife as a Xmas Present. I showed my design via Video feed and discussed my requirements with Adam. I have received the ring this morning and am more than happy to report, that it looks stunning, exactly how we discussed and pic I supplied. Thank you all involved at Diamond Channel.

At first we were impressed about how well the appointment went, from there on it was and still is down hill, struggling to get hold of Adam, then being contacted telling we can collect the ring, it's completed without a CAD design, that was discussed we will get before hand to make changes, if we want, it wasn't even what we discussed we wanted, we did give Diamond Channel a second chance to fix the problem, and they said if we are not 100% happy they will refund us... Well, we weren't happy and now we are struggling to get hold of them to refund us! Ruining our supposed to be best experience of our life.

Recently had a bad experience with the Diamond Channel. Do not be fooled by their fancy offices in Sandton City. Some advice should you want to deal with them however I don't recommend it. Get the specs of the diamonds you buy and then have the diamonds checked afterwords by an expert to ensure you get what you pay for. Be alert and do not get scammed.
