Somebody gave my name to thus company. My goodness. I receive calls 24/7. There is a 010 number then there's a 018 number and then there's a 011 number. I Blick them everyday. I have called and been told on the 010 number that someone must have recommended me and I asked them explicitly to remove my number from their database. I am over done with this company. I do NOT even have 1 carpet in my house. I do NOT need a Kirby. For goodness sake just leave me the hell alone! The numbers that just keep calling are.... 0114524600 0184924743 0104973250 I am going to keep blocking you as you don't seem to get the message. Surely this is harassment.

This so-called business is apparently the only Kirby accredited agent in George. But don't be fooled, Kirby must be unable to find another reputable business in George to be their agent hence their relationship with Megatech. Our "quest" with MEGATECH in George commenced on 24/02/2021 and continued for about 6 months. First of all they repaired our Kirby vacuum cleaner and after a R5000 Invoice, we were sent home with various problems and an incorrect, not working carpet washing reservoir. This dragged on for ages. We also required the repair of a simple, home size Snomaster Ice maker and that is how our biggest nightmare kicked off. You are most welcome to ask for any further information from us in support of what we are stating so we are prepared to prove each and every fact that we state here. Megatech, represented by a certain Tertius when he feels like it, is the most pathetic service provider that we have ever had the "pleasure" of doing business with. Picking up and taking backing the Ice Machine about 8 (Eight) times from Megatech is seemingly 'run of the mill' fun and games for this business. Telling us that the machine is repaired and when we get home and fill it with water, it immediately starts leaking water. When we return it because of the leaking, we are told that the machine does not leak when they fill it with water in their shop. Believe this or not, it is absolute madness and happened about 3 times. It is quite possible that we were intentionally being ******ed around because nobody on earth can be so pathetic, absolutely nobody. Bottom line, avoid this business AT ALL COSTS, rather throw the item away than attempt to get it repaired by Megatech/Tertius. This way you will live much longer and never ever struggle with high blood pressure caused be this so-called business. It is quite unbelievable that Megatech is an accredited Kirby agent but we intend to bring this unacceptable state of affairs also under the attention of Kirby. They must be desperate if they have to make use of Megatech as an agent, maybe Kirby is also not a big player anymore?

I was employed by Kirby Randpark Ridge in February and worked for a month. The business was closed during lockdown and I was promised to be contacted to resume duties on Level 1. After 8 months they have still not paid my salary, commission and petrol fees as negotiated while the business has resumed operations. I have contacted them on several occasions and they failed to provide me with feedback or even return my calls. I have visited the business premises on numerous occasions to enquire about my unpaid salary and to resume duty, I was promised feedback that never materialised. I was shocked to see new recruits on training and business carrying on as usual. This business is unethical and unprofessional, using employees for labor ( Sales and obtaining future sales references) without pay and discard them. Kirby uses and abuses

This company is very misleading. I was contacted by agent (Simone) that I have been referred for free cleaning of carpet and mattress and I agreed to this service because it’s “free” . So the agent organized for their cleaning agent to arrive late afternoon to do the cleaning. Agent only arrived after 8pm and I called Kirby (Leon Kirby) to confirm if they can still clean at such late time and be dry and they said yes because they use form. Agent comes in and tells me that he is not there to do cleaning but to do demonstration. So I was mislead to believe I will be getting free cleaning of carpets and mattresses but this did not materialize. I threw the agent out of my house because i was furious to be lied to.

I would like to give a shout out to the Kirby vacuum Company specifically the Kuilsriver branch! We have bought our Kirby about 5 years ago, and whenever we have a problem or question or need any products, they would go out of their way to assist. Their after sales service is excellent and very friendly. We are quick to complain, but this time I just wanted to say a huge thank you and well done to you girls and guys!

I would like to give a shout out to the Kirby vacuum Company specifically the Kuilsriver branch! We have bought our Kirby about 5 years ago, and whenever we have a problem or question or need any products, they would go out of their way to assist. Their after sales service is excellent and very friendly. We are quick to complain, but this time I just wanted to say a huge thank you and well done to you girls and guys!

I can not explain my frustration with Kirby, I dont even know if it is Kirby Edenvale or Kempton, I have about 6 numbers for the company and conveniently they dont work with email addresses.... I have spoken to about 4 different people. We send the kirby in for a services, supposed to be a service only (They are running a Valentine Special). Then we received a call, o no, there are parts that needs to be replaced. Ok, so we said fine replace the parts. Then they deliver our kirby.....BUT the machine had physical damages on. The outside material of the bag was torn, the front was extremely scratched the plastic had cut marks on it...the machine even sounded differently and the handle is loose. Although the serial number on the side was our serial number, some parts of the machine was definitely not ours, it looked like they changed some of the machines original parts with secondhand ones. When they delivered I refused to accept the machine and send it back. No one phoned me regarding this, I had to phone them. They just said that this is our machine that we have send to them and that is that. Unfortunately for me I did not take pictures of our Kirby before they collected it. They could be glad. Please people, write down the serial numbers and take proper photos of your machines before you send it to any Kirby Company Branch or sub contractor of Kirby whatsoever. The machine has a Edenvale Kirby sticker on but the lady I had the fight with was not based in Edenvale so it could be Kempton or Benoni. So please if someone knows of a good and trustworthy company dealing and servicing Kirby vacuums, please let me know.

I have owned a Kirby vacuum cleaner for about 20 years and bought it because of Kirby's promise of life-time repairs and rebuilds. Kirby Edenvale is the local supplier and they were previously pretty efficient whenever we needed the machine to be serviced or repaired or needed to order new bags or accessories. In the past decade or so, however, they have persisted in making unsolicited calls to offer us services we DON'T need, like carpet shampooing attachments (we have no carpets) and they've simply ignored multiple requests to remove our number off their sales consultants' database - I have repeatedly said to them, "don't call me, I'll call you if we need anything from Kirby", but a month or two later and there is another unsolicited call, sometimes after-hours. Last year we actually DID need them, as our machine suddenly wouldn't turn on. Three times we made an arrangement for it to be picked up for a diagnosis and repair, and three times Kirby broke this arrangement with no explanation or notification. We gave up and bought another brand of vacuum cleaner. Today, however, I received another unsolicited call offering me carpet shampooing accessories - and consultant Vuyiswa had clearly not been briefed not to call us. I explained the situation to her and we ended the call, but I then phoned back to ask to speak to the branch owner - only to have Vuyiswa repeatedly hang up on me. I eventually got the office number off the internet and spoke to someone called Isabel, who recalled my name and my previous multiple requests to be removed from their database but could not explain why this was not done. She also could not (or would not) supply any contact details - cell number or email address - for branch owner Hein Miller, and could not say when (or if) he would be available to speak to me. She did advise that she would ask him to call me, but many hours later he has not done so.
