Biggest mistake using this lying cheating team
Would give zero stars if that option was available. Still trying to fix their mess with my patio roof. Poor construction and waterproofing. A contractor used by Sunpal the patio material supplier laughed when he saw the quality of work performed. The roof would need to be re-done. The sheet not overlapped correctly, incorrect fastners used, etc, etc.... Are extended, where the two roof joined, very poorly waterproofed, still leaks damaging my inside ceilings etc. Very unreliable, make promises they can’t keep and not to mention the LIES. Started off well and ended very badly for me after hundreds of thousands spent. Takes so many short cuts and then lies like you can’t believe when questioned. Unbelievably stressful working with them and a complete waste of money. Will be pursuing this via the courts....

TMT - The Makeout Team (Worst Contractor Ever!)
By far the worst construction company to deal with. They will quote you an amount for work, no plans provided and when they make mistakes, will charge you for it. They will also ignore calls and whatsapp messages until they are ready to speak to you again. They don't show up on days when they say they will and will blame suppliers for getting orders wrong. A project that was supposed to take two weeks took over 4 months. It got so bad that attorneys got involved. In the end, their team did more damage to the property than they did good. Their boss will only be on site to quote you and come out if they made mistakes. They will demand full payment prior to completing their work and threaten you if you keep them to their own contract terms. Had to hire a seperate contractor to repair their damages. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS COMPANY.

Stay far away from The Make Out Team
We had a nightmare of an experience using The Makeout Team. Alex came to install a fireplace at our home last year. They made a mess of it and took a lot of shortcuts. The installation was done very badly and we were so concerned about our safety using the unit. Alex gave us the run around when we raised our concern and on numerous times asked him to come back to fix the problem. The whole ordeal was so stressful we eventually gave up. We paid a lot of money and we now have to fix the mess they left behind. Do not use this company!!!

Alex from The Makeout Team is a con artist. Do not use him!
DO NOT USE THEM. YOU WILL REGRET IT!!! We used Alex from The Makeout Team (TMT) to install our fireplace. What a big mistake and a complete nightmare!! The guy is abrasive, inexperienced and is a short cut specialist. The installation was not done right and our primary concern was our safety. We had to call him back to fix the mess he made and involve the owner of Hydrofire because Alex was giving us the run around. Eventually we gave up as entire experience was so stressful. Our fireplace is still incomplete. No after service is done to check if the unit is working properly. We are now on our own to sort it out and complete the installation after paying so much money. DO NOT USE ALEX FROM ‘THE MAKEOUT TEAM’ (TMT) AND MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT PAY HIM UPFRONT.

TMT The Make out team: In 2018 I got a quote from Alex for 100K to build my Patio Roof only and braai area. There was 4 criterias on the quote. I called and selected only 2 of the criterias based on my affordability. I was instructed to pay 70% upfront which I did. Clearly one could not have messed up on that if you know maths. They proceeded the day later and to my sup-prize I found they had not added skylights. Note I had also presented clear pictures of my expectation based on body corporate rules ect. They finished 90% of the work 2 weeks later. Rain started and I had to remind the for more than a month to come and complete the gutter and facial board (note to my stupidity- I had paid in full buy then as they requested it and said they needed the money). After legal action they came to add the gutter. Needles to say they left a 80mm gap between facial board and gutter which led the rain directly onto ceiling below. This is one of my worst dealings with constructions company. Don’t use them.
