I was called at 8 am on a Saturday for a 9 am interview with no prior notice. I still went, did the interview and a practical test, and was told I’d be paid for the day. The next morning I was called again for a “second practical,” at 10 am which i told them i couldn't make it but never received feedback or payment for the first one . It’s clear I was called in to fill in for staff, not for a real interview. Very unprofessional and disappointing behaviour from a place that claims to be reputable.

I am very disappointed at the View Boutique Hotel & Spa. My stay was horrible. The room had huge ****roaches and ants. We had to stay outside and ended up sleeping after midnight.I reported at the reception and was told that they are aware of the issue however if you read their reviews there is nothing written about it. The unfortunate part is that I can not review my stay since it's blocked on their side. The place looks good on google but a disappointment inside.

I am very disappointed at the View Boutique Hotel & Spa. My stay was horrible. The room had huge ****roaches and ants. Dear The View Owner ( Doonside ) ... I'm expressing my disappointment after so many years of supporting your business because of great service that we usually preserve as well potrayed. We made booking for family since my sister was graduating yesterday 03.11 and requested to bring a cake. We have communication from WhatsApp upon request stating that cake fee for bringing our own cake is R49 which we did not have a problem... Yesterday we were so abacked when we were charged R49 each person X11 for cutting the cake. We requested clarity and they started telling us that because we did not buy their dessert that what we get charged.. We were very disappointed because that was clashing with communication we had on whatsap, mind you we see this after paying. They refused to rectified the situation and begged us to have free wine or anything else which we refused because we did not budget for this... We are requesting refund urgently and difference for the tip.... Your support management will be highly appreciated. Regards

Booked a 3 night promo. Ts & Cs were it’s a “select menu”. I try order dinner on the first night and the restaurant manager says “I have to eat from the restaurant - can’t order room service and there’s no such thing as a select menu” WHAT?? I then disagree with him over that. He calls back and says I should order over R500 and he’ll deduct R500 from the total “as a favour” Next day when I’m ordering he tells me that I actually can order room service AND that a select menu actually exists. Management just hadn’t informed him. 5 star? Mmm It’s clean and the rest of the staff is nice

It was the worst nightmare experience,false advertising .We were told the hotel villa was a 5star and we will have access to a private beach ⛱️ from the villa and private pool. We requested for a refund since we realised when we got there that the hotel is not even a 5star and When we arrived there was no such ,they made us to wait till 9pm for them to look for a better guest room but still they failed we were told only arround 9pm (since we arrived there 5pm driving all the way from Mpumalanga)that theres power failure and some rooms were burning so we are forced to sleep in that villa and we refused since its not what we were promised telephonically and its not what we saw on their website. We did not sleep there we had to go arround that time of the night to look for another hotel that was proper and we found one. We were illtreated by the hotel manager by the name of Ronald ,who promised us a full refund of R20000 and made us sign a refund Form but till today the was no refund that came through. When we call he keeps promising to revert back to us but he doesn't. He also refused to give us the hotel owners number . THIS HOTEL IS 0STAR ITS VERY HORRIBLE .

Horrible service... Our bakkie wad tempered with in the parking. CCTV footage showed a group of people come to the premises and walk around the bakkie and check everything out than go our and come back. They disconnected the battery and cut a few wires. Prior to the footage being seen, staff made us look as if we were liars, they said that a staff members bakkie parks daily but nothing happens to it. We showed them the message from netstar and they were rude. After the footage was seen we received a call from the manager and nothing else. We will never book there and do not recommend it.

Id I could give them anything less than 1 star I would. Made a booking for the 28th of December via Booking.com. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it on this date as I had to travel elsewhere on a work related matter. Seeing that I can’t cancel a booking via Booking.com I decided to contact the hotel directly on the 27th and asked if I could be allowed to set the booking for another date, their reservations manager promised to call me back as I had booked through a 3rd party. I asked for the matter to be escalated to management if needs he and I’m willing to pay whatever balance I’ll need ti pay for the inconvenience to avoid paying another full booking fee. I wasn’t called back nor emailed personally. Instead when I called to check if my request was considered I was told they notified Booking.com I’m cancelling my request and there’s nothing I could. Their reservation manager was brighter sympathetic not apologetic during our last conversation and told me I should have booked directly with them and not via the App. Literally blaming me for their hotel appearing on Booking.com, even though I first saw the hotel there! Having gone through the pandemic in 2020 and 2021 I was hoping for better relations than this, there wasn’t even a single offer to assist on the matter, nothing! So as the gentleman said, book only on their website or make your way there and book physically because apparently you they are still stuck in the 90s.
