Tucked away in the Ballito suburbs close to town and beach lies a little gem called the Waterberry Coffee Shop. It's set in a charming mini natural forest walk, which is safe for a short amble after you have enjoyed a meal from their amazing menu. I have been there too many times to count, and have never been disappointed by the quality of their service or food. From scrumptious breakfasts to mouthwatering homemade cakes you just can't beat them. The waitrons are super friendly, effecient, and clearly want you to have a great experience. The decor is delightful, somehow restful, and being surrounded by this amazing little forest you feel as if you've entered another world. Kids can enjoy the play area. Waterberry offers indoor and outdoor seating, but I highly recommend you try and sit outdoors as you really feel the benefit of being even for a little while, surrounded by nature. It's ideal for breakfast, or light meals, being a coffee shop, and they do celebration meals for special occasions. I was suprised on my birthday by a complimentary chocolate brownie with icecream, candle and birthday wishes. Elegantly done, and thoughtful. If you haven't been to Waterberry for a tea yet...get there

Lovely "Coffee Shoppe", from the ambiance to the food. The staff is very friendly and professional. I love how eco-friendly the cafe is, the aesthetics of their decor is just perfect. The view of the small "lake" with all the ducks and the mini forest is absolutely beautiful, and there is a trail where you can walk in to explore the forest. We had brunch there with friends, and we loved it so much that we went back the next day for breakfast :).

I took my family for an outing at Waterberry Coffee Shop in Ballitto what an absolute disappointment and waste of money not only has the standard of food dropped but their service is almost non existent considering I had to get up and look for a water every time. Food orders forgotten Children's food 15minutes after all the other food arrived. Waiter nowhere to be found or seen not once asking if everything is fine. The quality of food has dropped dramatically which was off putting and we will not go back. Very sad considering...

Went to Waterberry Restaurant in Ballito from Durban for Mothers Day breakfast. Arrived 09:30 am .We were a party of 8. When the food arrived for everyone else mine did not. Some of the guests food was cold and the bacon burnt. I was told that my food was on the way. Fifteen minutes later they came to apologise as to why my food had not been delivered. Eventually it was delivered but uncooked.(rushed). I had ordered a simple omelette with cheese and mince. The omelette was slimy and uncooked. I ate the mince as I was late for another function in Durban. When I told the waitress of the problem all I got was a \So sorry". It seems like this place was not geared for the Mothers Day rush and that sad as the party of 8 traveled from Durban to Ballito expecting a descent breakfast.

(Supplier name changed from Waterberry Hill to The Waterberry Coffee Shoppe by Hellopeter.com)
"""

Saturday 14 February: Met with friends for coffee, orders not fulfilled correctly by waitress. I enquired after a booking for Sunday breakfast and was advised that bookings were not taken.
Sunday 15 February: Arrived for breakfast at 9:15 and was informed that no tables were available, despite the fact that there were several tables unoccupied. The manager advised that a family \were on the way"and that it would be necessary to wait 30 minutes for an open table. To my mind this constitutes a booking that the manager wished to honour. This is at odds with the advice I received on Saturday. It is all very well to capitalize on a good reputation and beautiful surroundings however there are many other Ballito establishments that make their customers feel welcome and appreciated. As a Ballito resident I will spend my money elsewhere."""
