I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unacceptable service I received from TM Electronics, a service provider that was referred to me by Samsung. Approximately two weeks ago, my Samsung television stopped working entirely — it would not power on and displayed no picture. I contacted Samsung online [12/01/26] for assistance and was advised that an agent would contact me within 12 to 24 hours. After waiting 24 hours with no response, I contacted Samsung again and was informed that due to high call volumes I should continue waiting. I was then advised by Samsung customer care to contact TM Electronics, as they were contracted by Samsung to provide technical assistance. I contacted TM Electronics and scheduled a technician visit [13/01/26]. The following day, two technicians arrived. Unfortunately, their appearance and conduct were highly unprofessional. One technician arrived wearing sandals and an unbuttoned shirt with only two buttons fastened. While I understand the weather conditions may be hot, this level of dress is completely inappropriate for technicians representing a global brand such as Samsung. I explained the issue with the television. The technician briefly tapped the screen, mumbled something to his colleague, and advised that their office would contact us. No proper inspection or diagnostic testing was conducted. Despite this, I was required to pay a call-out fee of R600. After repeatedly calling TM Electronics the following day and waiting to be contacted by the “correct person,” I was eventually informed that the television screen needed to be replaced and that the screen had been discontinued. Unsatisfied with this explanation, I contacted an independent electrical company, who sent a technician the same day. This technician opened the television, conducted a proper assessment, and confirmed that the issue was not the screen at all, but rather a faulty main control board — a completely different diagnosis. As a result, I am deeply concerned and disappointed by the service received. My concerns are as follows: • Does TM Electronics treat all customers in this manner? • Is this the level of service Samsung clients should expect? • Do Samsung-appointed technicians represent the brand while wearing sandals and unprofessional attire? • Are incorrect diagnoses given without proper inspection of appliances? I have attempted to contact TM Electronics multiple times since receiving this information and have received no response whatsoever. This experience has been extremely frustrating and unacceptable. We are absolutely vexed by the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and incorrect diagnosis, and we will not recommend TM Electronics to anyone. I request that this matter be investigated urgently and that I receive feedback regarding how Samsung intends to address the conduct of its contracted service providers.

The service is extremely disappointing. They said it takes up to 10 working days for part to arrive, I paid full amount on the 5th of December and today is 22nd, yet no phone call, poor communication. I am the one calling and the service is BAD, BAD, BAD.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received from TM Electronics in Durban regarding my Samsung S22 Ultra. After a recent Samsung software update, my phone began experiencing serious system issues – frequent app crashes, system UI errors, and processor faults. Samsung advised me to take the device for a free assessment, and the nearest service center was TM Electronics (a 1.5-hour drive from me). I drove there, booked the phone in, and later received communication that the repair would cost between R2100–R2300, which Samsung agreed to cover. I was then informed that parts had to be ordered, and after 20 days of waiting, I drove back again to collect my device. To my frustration, the problem was never fixed. On my way home, as apps reinstalled, the exact same errors and crashes started happening again. To make matters worse, the repair notes reflected that I had reported “internet issues,” which is completely false. My phone never had internet issues – it had system stability issues. This means TM Electronics misdiagnosed the problem, ordered the wrong parts, and wasted over 3 weeks of my time, not to mention two long trips to Durban at my own expense. This is unacceptable. A service center trusted by Samsung should not be misleading customers with incorrect assessments and returning devices still broken. I have effectively been without a working phone for almost a month, and the inconvenience, time, and costs I have incurred are on me because of their incompetence. I expect TM Electronics (and Samsung) to take accountability, redo the assessment properly, and repair my phone correctly at no further cost or inconvenience to me. Anything less is unacceptable after such a poor experience.

I initially sent my Samsung device to TM Electronics for a front screen repair. The phone was inspected by the store manager, who opened the device and confirmed that the inner screen opened and functioned 100% correctly. After the front screen repair was done, I immediately noticed that the inner screen no longer opened fully. This fault did not exist before the repair — it was caused by poor workmanship during the repair process. I reported this to Samsung’s Voice of Customer (VOC) department, who approved the device to be repaired under workmanship warranty — as per the Consumer Protection Act, any repair or replacement is required to be of good quality, free from defects, and fit for purpose. If a defect arises due to poor workmanship within 3 months, the supplier must remedy it at their cost. However, after 2 months of waiting, I received a call from TM Electronics stating that Samsung VOC had rejected the workmanship warranty claim — directly contradicting the earlier approval. This is unacceptable. I have been without my phone for almost three months, caught between conflicting stories from TM Electronics and Samsung. No one wants to take responsibility, and I am sick of being **** to. At this point, I demand either: 1. Immediate and proper repair under the workmanship warranty, or 2. A full refund so I can have the phone repaired elsewhere. Samsung and TM Electronics — this level of service is disgraceful for a global brand. Stop passing the blame and fix your customer’s device.

Arranged a call out with TM Electronics as they are the appointed Samsung repair company. The freezer section of my 4 year old Samsung fridge was not freezing. They advised me that the unit did not have enough gas to operate the fridge and freezer due to a suspected internal leak . I asked them to regas the fridge but they refused saying that if there is an internal leak the gas will cause an explosion in the kitchen because we have a gas hob. I paid the R750.00 call out fee . How can Samsung fill their fridges with dangerous gas , that can explode, and if so in what instance can you safely regas the fridge in order to get it working again. Do Samsung fridges only last for 4 years

I logged a call for a technician to come out to repair my Samsung Tv at 08:20 in the morning. After being told that they would send someone? I have been told that the technician is at work but they don't have a vehicle for him to come out. I offered to pay for an Uber but was told it's not necessary. It's nearly 15:00 now and still no technician. Disgusting service from both Samsung and TM electronics
