Ordered a grilled chicken salad, later on only saw that it was egg and tuna. Tuna was brown and smelt, egg's were going black. Literally looked like they poured water over as salad dressing. Turns out had expired 2 WEEKS AGO!!!!! Today, thought i'd give it another shot - bought a grilled chicken wrap, same thing - EXPIRED!!!!

This past Saturday for lunch we went to Torrador as I purchased a voucher on Groupon and we happened to be in Cape Gate Mall , I made a reservation for 3pm and I was there at 3pm the place wasn’t too full by my count and I would say that there were only 3 other tables taken so we took our seats and waitress came to take the drink orders at which time we also decided to place the meal orders as well. + - 10 after ordering the drinks it finally arrived and almost 45 minutes after that the food arrived which at that point i only counted 1 occupied table besides us in the place. To top it off my meal i ordered wasn’t appetising at all and i decided not to finish it. I really like that place and i always like to stop by there but what happened on Saturday I'm not sure.

Just returned from a great experience at Torrador Cape Gate. Ordered the Rump steak and chips. The food was well prepared and the service was great. For some reason I never stopped at Torrador but after today we will become regulars. Thanks Keagan and staff!

on Friday the 12th March 2016 me and my wife visited the Torrador restaurant in cape gate shopping mall in brackenfell . i ordered an americano coffee . the waitress who was very friendly, brought the coffee. I noticed that the coffee was not up to standard and tasted like some instant coffee . i mentioned it to the waitress. she took the coffee away to make stronger coffee. a women who called herself the manageress came to my table in a rude manner and attacked me that that is the coffee they make. she said if i want stronger coffee the i must pay more for it. the paying more is not the issue . her attitude is what i am not happy with.. i decided not to go there again

I often pop into the Torrador at the Shell Garage in Century Avenue, Century City, Cape Town. For the past few weeks I have stopped as, every morning before 08:00 and at lunch time that I go there for a chicken Mayo and macon wrap they never have! I once bought a Cheese and Tomato baguette and it was so stale!!
Anyway, today at lunch time I went to see if I would be lucky to get a wrap. And not surprising, there were no wraps!! So i asked the lady if they had any wraps at the back and she said no they finished. So i told her, don't you guys make the wraps on site, as I saw a lady making baguettes behind her. I just got a bad look, she pressed a few buttons on her computer screen and asked me if there is anything else i would like. So I told her I never ordered anything, then she says they can make me a wrap. Annoyed with her bad attitude i agreed. When i got back to the office with my wrap, there was hardly ANY chicken mayo in it! I have eaten this wrap many time and know what should be in there. It was just macon with a dash of chicken mayo and lettuce. I have actually had it with Torrador now. I can send you photos of my so called wrap if you would like to be shocked!!

We went to Torrador this morning like we usually do most of the time and we received the most humiliating service infront of the other customers, we ordered the Normal Cafe Latte and the hazelnut latte after which we asked the guy behind the counter making the coffee which one is which for a good reason, as we drink 3 sugars with a normal cafe latte and 1 sugar with a hazelnut latte. He mixed the 2 cups around so we ended up adding the wrong amount of sugar in each cup, we went back to tell him that it was incorrect so he said we should smell which one is which before we add the sugar, he then said he will make a new hazelnut latte after he helped all the other customers, so after a while of waiting he made a new hazelnut latte and told us that if we throw in 3 sugars the hazelnut will be too sweet, where we replied that we know it will be because we only throw one sugar in the hazelnut latte but he mixed it around when we asked him which one was the normal latte and which one was the hazelnut and he kept on making us feel we were making the mistake infront the customers after we clearly tried to explain why there is a reason for asking which one is which,is it too much to ask for?
