I booked my ticket through the Tripsta website. I made a mistake on the spelling of the name on my ticket. When I tried to change it the company told me they would charge me $1187(USD) to get the name changed. However, when I called the airline they told me that it would only cost them $50. When I talked to a Tripsta agent and asked why they were charging so much they didn't respond and dodged the question. I tried to contact them several times to get an answer and am still waiting to hear their reasoning as to why there was such a huge discrepancy in the amount they claimed they would charge me. Moreover, every time I contacted the company I received a new email from a different person that didn't include or address any of the questions I brought up. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

My wife and I booked our honeymoon from South Africa to Israel via Egypt on Egypt Air. Our flights where booked through tripsta and all was on track. When we arrived for our flight at jhb international airport we where told that our flight was cancelled at the Egypt Air counter and if we wanted to get on the flight we would need to pay more. Tripsta did not at any time previous to our flight alert us of any changes or cancellations. After waiting a long time a manager from Egypt air helped us he said he could see we paid and our ticket was booked he called to Egypt and got us on the plane to Cairo and told us that we would have to stay in Cairo for the day. We arrived in Cairo and we where taken to a hotel for the night. We however had no clothing as our bags where kept at the Airport as we where told we would get them in Israel upon arrival. The next day we arrived in Israel Wednesday 6th Dec in the freezing winter on Honeymoon to find our bags and all our belongings did not get put on the flight. It has now been 4 days in winter in Israel and we have still no clothing. We Also had to pay for accommodation that we did not stay in in Jerusalem. We where supposed to come back from Israel to South Africa on the 11th and now the Airlines has booked us back on the 14th and we will need to pay extra money we did not budget for for accommodation in Israel which is really expensive. This has been a very unpleasant experience. We have had no help from trip sta or EgyptAir. And it has been a very uncomfortable and draining experience. I personally do not want to travel Egypt Air again and I will not use Tripsta.com to book flights ever again. There has been no compensation for anything that we have gone through from EgyptAir or tripsta. Thanks Mason Schneider

We accidentally booked the wrong flight, cancelled booked flight within 8 hours after original booking. Amount of 15462.36 paid and only 11073.43 refunded?? This is one heck of a penalty fee don't you think? I will not recommend anyone to make use of Tripsta.co.za, worst experience. Please send your terms and conditions. This is robbery.

I booked online and paid 28 Sept 2017 for PE to London return ticket R8904.84 Everything was confirmed, my e-ticket emailed to me. Happy days. I get to the airport on 17 Oct 2017 for BA staff to inform me that Tripsta booked me, and then cancelled me off passenger list! I was forced to buy a single from PE to Jburg for R2271.69... rip-off, but what else can I do, I had to be in the UK for work. When I get to Jburg, the chaos ensues. I spend 16 mins on a customer services call to Tripsta, for Allen to confirm all is in order. NOT. Qatar cannot check me in. My ticket is now reading ''out of sequence''. The manager instructs me back to BA, and for them to change status on original ticket, with printouts before and after, to show Tripsta that they are in fact at fault! Now they still won't refund me for the second ticket I had to buy. What an absolute useless company. Qatar says many dodgy scamming agents online...

After 2nd call of more than 25 min hanging on no response. Claimed to be a company you can save with air fares ( lier , lier pants on fire.....I paid R25 more and it seems I need to buy a new ticket as I can not change my reservation....)

I booked tickets more than a month in advance. For my Wife, daughter (5 months old) and myself. I mailed them re these tickets +- a week before boarding. On arrival at airport, the airline said Tripsta never issued my daughter's ticket. I called Tripsta on the spot and they said, sorry they cant help as its 2 hours before the flight!! They could not give me any contact person their side to help me further deal with this. they simply passed the buck after making me pay 2.5k for a 5 month old's plain ticket?! I was on that airport for 4 1/2 hours with an infant, seeing literally the whole line dissapear infront of me. I have not heard a word or email form them to even ask if I managed to get on the flight. Not even a SMS. I find it ridiculous that TRIPSTA is even allowed to operate as a travel agent. It's a complete waste of time and money. DO NOT EVER USE TRIPSTA.

<p>I have been trying to cancel my flight that is in 5 days. I have been trying for a week to cancel this flight as I am staying longer at my current destination. The lady is spoke to ''Athina Nikolaidou'' just do not bother to reply at all. I will not show up for this flight and I will also not pay ANY penalties as this is very badly handled from Tripsta side. STAR RATING - Does not even deserve a star at all.</p>

Inadvertently booked same day, but one month ahead. Cannot get hold of them by email or phone. No point in trying to. Phone cuts you off after telling you phone no. you entered into system is 'unknown' and email simply sends a 'we've received... here is your confirmation no.' but 4.5 hours later still no contact. Also, small print says R740 charge for cancellations!</p>
