THE BAY HOTEL CAMPSBAY - Absolutely shocking and disturbing my husband and myself decided to visit the bay hotel for mocktails AND A light meal with saying that we made a booking reservation. When arriving the waiter approach us and we ordered I said I would like to have the mocktails at the pool side please and went down we found a lovely spot with two pool chairs available we made ourselves comfortable after 10 -15 mins later a Caucasian tall man dressed in black no name badge no intro no logo on any of his clothing (saying his the manager or senior) with teeth yellow like his never used a tooth brush in decades. Approaches us and speaks loudly in a arrogant tone we are not allowed to sit here this area is only for paid residents and are you a resident? Can you afford to stay here? You are welcome to pay R750,00 as a day visitor he was so rude and the manner in which he approach us was utterly disgusting and embarrassing to say the least he mentioned there are cheaper options you know ...to insinuate my affordability a darn insult ... Is this The Bay caliber of staff racist and arrogant ????? Or is it because the color of my skin was not the same as his including the guest staying there, Was I getting drinks for free "NO!!!! A PAYING CUSTOMER" I SAID PLEASE CANCEL OUR ORDER WE ARE LEAVING. I would have respected him to say in a polite manner in a soft tone, this is a once off ill bring your drinks but in future you not allowed to sit here. I would have gladly accepted that. I would like to know this horrible person's name and a full explanation and apology from him directly in detailed written I would like to know what is The Bay hotel going to do about this matter how are they going to fix this at the end of it i was a customera paying customerlike any one else having a drink or staying ?????? I expect feedback asap... Not only did he embarrass me infront of the guest but I felt extremely humiliated.

The most abrupt and vindictive staff. I dealt with Lize Swart and she went out of her way to make finding a property in Cape Town difficult. She would lie about the availability of properties and hung up on me when I confronted her on my issues with her. Very unprofessional and an unpleasant experience.

Be very very careful about booking these apartments on line. It all looks very good on the photographs but you never know where you will end up. We stayed over for three days, and then two weeks later were back and booked for another six days, requesting the same apartment. We did not get the same apartment and we got stuck way at the back in a place where your only view is the back of a building. You could be anywhere. Really a horrible experience and I will never be back, such poor management, once you have paid they are simply not interested in anything you have to say.

Be very very careful about booking these apartments on line. It all looks very good on the photographs but you never know where you will end up. We stayed over for three days, and then two weeks later were back and booked for another six days, requesting the same apartment. We did not get the same apartment and we got stuck way at the back in a place where your only view is the back of a building. You could be anywhere. Really a horrible experience and I will never be back, such poor management, once you have paid they are simply not interested in anything you have to say.

<p>My group and I made reservations at village and life but had to cancel 3 months in advance before our arrival date. I was told we would get our refund in 2-3 weeks, we waited patiently . we are in the 5th week and no one is giving us answers, not the finance manager,reservations manager....all we are getting is that we should be patient out matter is being dealt with and we will get our refund shortly. they have been unfair as we canceled long before the arrival date and they are giving us the run around to ruin our holiday. I have even sent the director our problem and he also said"our refund has been processed and it will reach us shortly" and that was a 4 day ago response. if they treat potential customers like that....I wonder how they would have treated us had we actually continued our bookings with them . </p>

<p>We booked apartment 116 for Saturday night and this was the worst idea ever.</p> <p>When we checked in, the reception staff was very friendly, but that was it. There was a few other things that upmarket apartments should not be associated with:</p> <p> When we got to the apartment, they were still busy cleaning it.<br />There was no sheets on the bed.<br />The one bedside lamp was not working.<br />We only had 2 cushions on the bed.<br />We had no coffee.<br />The towels was in such a bad condition.<br />At 02:30, the guests from room 118 was still partying and I had to ask them to keep quiet.<br />The security guy came to ask if he can borrow my phone to call management.</p> <p> <br /> We had such a bad night’s rest and won’t be recommending this place to anyone.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
