A zero star definitely deserved I have booked a fareware for sunday at 2:30 pm I’ve confirmed multiple times with the waiter and he said no problem is it confirmed ! He then gave me a card with Andrew details to order the cakes in advance I’ve sent a email In that email I’ve said that I want to bring personalised water bottles , that’s when they started going on and declined my confirmation and moved it to 4 pm when I have already sent out invites I understand the rules of a restaurant but a simple no we don’t allow outside drinks ! Thankfully Tashes Sandton helped me out and is also allowing me to bring my personalised water Never been so embarrassed in my entire life by walnut Grove And Andrew you need to learn some manners and ethics of how to treat an customer Why would I lie about an confirmed booking If there wasn’t space for 2:30pm I would have simply made it for 4pm but I’ve sent out invites already for 2:30 thank god For Tashes they are an absolute Gem!

Worse breakfast I have had in a long time. After waiting 40 minutes for our food to arrive. My breakfast arrived cold and tasteless. Croissant was burnt, scrambled eggs watery and bland, bacon wet and soggy. No accountable manager/owner on site. Come on guys you are in Sandton. Not good at all!!!!

Service wasn't up to standards, I had to get up twice to look for the waiter to order dessert and water, the salad that we ordered was supposed to have croutons on, it had no croutons. The con pana that I ordered arrived at my table cold, I had to ask the barman near to where I was sitting to warm it up. I would definitely expect better service from such a well established restaurant.

I’m still in shock after what the store manager in Sandton was shouting at me for his mistake , what I believe could have been Easley fixed . Instead of saying I made a mistake I under quoted you will it be possible for you to pay the difference; ended up him shouting at me while I was trying not to be provoked by his behavior the entire time ,It was like I’m dealing with a child in his terrible two’s only it was an adult. I’m still trying to figure out what happened why was behaving in that manner! I never thought questioning someone about what I interpreted what was said in the email could result in him saying what he did.

I love the food in Walnut Grove sandton city but I must say that the manager there (Andrew) is the most rudest person and racist man I have come across. He mistreated his staff in front of us customers and I had an experience we my (white friend) ordered breakfast and she got the best food. But when I went to order the same breakfast and her saw that I was black he gave me the ****tiest looking breakfast. And the way he speaks and undermines black people is shocking. Walnut Grove is one of the best places to eat but that manager (ANDREW!) will make it lose customers and fast. after what not only myself experience I am deffinately not recommending it to anyone. Disappointed

Walnut Grove used to be my go to place for delicious cakes and desserts, but recently their standards have dropped a ton. A few weeks back i went there for cupcakes and coffee, the chocolate cupcake was so stale, i had to call the waiter and he replaced it with another which was stale as well. I thought it maybe being a weekday, fresher produce was still being baked. However this Saturday,i took my family for cake and coffee and found that the vanilla coconut cake was either stale or cheaper ingredients were being used as it was no longer soft and moist, i also bought a Nutella filled donut which should just be called a vetkoek coz there was barely any nutella in this donut ( i have pictures of this). I will rather make my way to Tashas for or Starbucks and spend my money there (and they are cheaper too)!!!!
