We booked for a week at Weesgerus and it was not bad, but it is clear that the sleeping issues needs to be attended to. It's not good to pay those fees, and find two single old steel base beds of which the mattress's is not up to standard. The second "sleeper" area is nothing more but two build in bunks with sponge cushions for mattresses. Other than that, all was okay taking in consideration that they were going through an industrial action. They really need to look at replacing the mattresses and find a solution for the other sleepers. For that price, I would expect a decent bed for all the guests and not only one pair who gets actual beds and the others a piece of sponge on a build in bunk.

Baie swak diens van weesgerus mens betaal baie geld om hier vakansie te hou die huisies word nie skoon gemaak nie mens moes bel om huisies skoon te laat maak en as hulle kom maak hulle dit nie skoon nie

We booked a caravan site for the period 19 to 27 June 2024 Upon arrival on , the stand that was allocated to us had no shade, no grass and hopelessly too small and full of litter. We decided on another stand. None of the louvered lights , supposed to illuminate the road, were in working order. The was not a single plug in the bathrooms or at the dish wash facility. Shower doors could not be locked since the bolts were removed without fixing or replacing them. The resort shop is so poorly stocked that you have to drive to Modimolle for groceries. None of the restaurants in the resort are functioning, Although the website tells a different story. The loud music at the swimming pools during the day was just unbearable. I pay to get away from all the noise and then I have to bear this during my holiday. The management of this resort are totally out of touch with the requirements and service that caravanners want. The family wanted to stay until, but upon enquiry at the office we were informed that the resort was full for the weekend. No "let's see if we can make a plan." We had the same situation in the past where the booking office just say they are full and then you find out from fellow caravanners the the park was not full.

Had such a bad experience upon arrival ...I have been comming to weesgerus Modimolle for the last 20 years and this is the first time I have experienced the let down of service failure ext.. at my booking in the following happend. We never paid for an exstra car, but this is not the issue..when we queried this matter we were treated with the most unkind attitude from the front staff. We said we dont have problem the car will be removed. We asked the security if we could just unload the car as for the chalè was to far. He opened and we were busy unloading when the security come and said that the lady is calling us *****s. I went to her and she behaved so unprofesional by blaming the security quard. I called the management but he did not even appologise and up to now nobody gave feedback or an appology. This is totally unacceptable as you come to have a lovely time then you are treated like this. What a dissapointment in being a loyal customer of Weesgerus.

Chalets are old and with windows and/or doors unable to lock properly. Bedding is very old and also brown which is a bit offputting. All self catering, no dishwashing detergent provided or even a kitchen cloth… rooms not cleaned everyday. You have to pay extra to use the indoor pool.. Management does not seem to see the need to actually do any kind of upgrades anywhere… only 2 small single beds in a 2 sleep chalet…. As if 2 random people are booking these and not couples… would not go there again.

Chalets are old and with windows and/or doors unable to lock properly. Bedding is very old and also brown which is a bit offputting. We were a couple of times at the resort and not been back for 3years. This time we discided to go back to Weesgerus and was dumb struck how dirty the chalets were and bad maintenance through out the entire resort. They always had strict rules regarding jumping and diving into the swimming pools but this rule only applies to certain individuals. The resort dicided to close the swimming pools due to lack of knowledge of the rules applying to level 3 lockdown regulations and the entire resort was forced to stay in their chalets up until they wanted a refund and refused to do so and boom they opened the pools again. Weesgerus holiday resort will never see me and my family again after the worst holiday ever. I would strongly advise the regulars that haven't been to Weesgerus in while to stay away as this place is going slowly but surely in the dumbs.

Fantastic resort!! Clean and well kept. Very friendly staff. Restaurants serving good food at reasonable prices. Chalets are comfortable and well equipped. Lovely warm pool and indoor pool. We loved it so much that we will return in September with the whole family

Worst holiday resort ever in ZA. Dirty linen, old most uncomfortable single beds joint together to make up double bed but the one is higher than other- steel old fashioned bed legs-other beds are in the passage near the toilet door like jail beds. No dish cloth/washer, no heater, nothing to clean yourself after-you are provided with one cheap tissue and if its finished you must go buy. No fireplace the worst place for the family- im told i must bring my own heater at a holiday spot. There is no manager to voice your concerns to. WEESGERUS must be closed and im taking this to the ombudsman or the department of health!

No dish cloth/washer, no heater, nothing to clean yourself after-you are provided with one cheap tissue and if its finished you must go buy.
