Have to say right off the bat that I am incredibly disappointed with the customer service at this place. I had made a booking for 4 for Christmas lunch and unexpectedly received an additional guest who is staying with us for Christmas. I sent an email query through, asking if I would be able to add on 1 more guest as I cannot now exclude them from Christmas lunch whilst they are staying with us over the holidays. I received no response to my email for 2 days, despite having sent it to 2 different email addresses. I then sent a whattsap message with my query and a further email to 2 other email addresses, after which I received a response nearly 5 hours later (via whattsap), with no apology or explanation for why my emails were not attended to. The response was "Unfortunately we are fully booked." I then sent a whattsap message asking if I can rather be refunded to which I again received no response. I then called in to 2 different numbers (the first of which was not answered) and on the second number, spoke to someone who did not provide their name and was told that I must "drop an email" to Samantha who I assume is the manager and that she is the only person who can assist but is currently on leave. So in her absence everything just stands still? There is no one available to assist customers with any unforeseen issues that arise? Needless to say I informed the person on the other end of the line that "Samantha" was not responding to my emails, and the response she gave to me was "she's on leave." Quite ridiculous. And further to this I was also told that if I want to cancel, then I will not receive the R869 deposit which I paid! In what world is it okay to charge someone R869 for food that they will not be eating??? I also did not see any mention of this in the terms and conditions when I made the booking. I am disgusted and completely put off by the way these people treat customers. I would not recommend booking anything with them unless you are 100 percent certain that something unforeseen will occur (as if that is even possible!) Rather book at a place that has a better reputation of how they treat their customers, not at a place such as this that only replies to emails and messages when they want your money. Extremely dissapointing service indeed.

If you thinking of booking here for your wedding. Do your research well. The venues here are so beautiful and aesthetically appealing. It's really breathtaking and that's what sold us in getting the venue. But once we made the deposit that's when things started going downhill. With this venue you are not allowed to bring in an external catering and decor company which is totally understandable and if you had to bring in your own DJ, be prepared to pay an extra R2000 fee. Everything from here had a price tag which we didn't mind but the price tag was unreasonable. They were only giving us 1x 2l cool drink which only feeds 8 people and we have 10 guests sitting on a table. What should thee other 2 guests drink???. So we asked if they could bring our own and pay a ****age fee which we were told no then we asked if they could put two and Samantha ***ner) had said we would have to pay. Which was not a problem. Which then we were told it would be R40 for 1x 2l cool drink. Which I was shocked as we had 20 tables to add on too. This is just the tip of the ice burg of what my husband and I went through, we had numerous issues along the way that wouldn't even fit here. On my wedding day, I was assured that my wedding venue would be setted up by 8:15 which wasn't. My mum arrived and the tables with all of sweets, pens, souvenirs, pamphlets, waters etc was not set as yet on all tables. And the two tables that they did set was setted wrong. Which by the way we did have a mock set up done prior to the wedding and it was written down. Still after all of this. Two table in the back still did not have pens and fans setted for them. I requested for all my personalized water to be iced as it was going to be hot. That was not done. We requested for ice. And we were told that they didn't have ice. But they do have a restaurant on the premises which does have ice. A plan could have been made but wasn't. My family had to go out and buy ice to assist our guests that was feeling hot. I even asked them to open up the venue early to air out so it could be cooler. Again, that was not done. And again. This is my personal experience and I wish this upon no other bride to experience. They truly made my planning of my wedding a horrible one. P. S... Thank you to Crystal and Dillion for all yourlls help and assistance. As you guys understand clients way more than the actual owner. While I do understand that this is someone's business and rules are put in place for a reason but it doesn't mean you don't have to have any empathy towards people. As we didnt get the venue for free. We paid for it.

My daughter booked this venue for her wedding on for 17 July 2023. All she received was a quote which she said she was happy with, wrt to food and the cost per person. No contract was given for her to sign. And now she has been told that everything else comes with an additional cost. Yet she paid R20 000 for the venue hire. The service that she is getting from them to go forward is really bad. They refuse to give her R33 000 deposit back. How can we go ahead with a wedding that's going to cost triple the amount than the original outlay as everything is additional payment. This is unreputable and not professional.
