The only reason I was admitted was due to my amazing backbone and incredible psychiatrist. My first time ever in a clinic, as I was always treated as an outpatient. 1. The food is absolutely horrible I got food poisoning in my first week. 2. The PR and marketing is absolutely false. 3. Because I work at the SABS I had a personal meeting with the manager who never followed up with me regarding my concerns and complaints. And treats her staff so horribly with no people skills or compassion. How she got the job God only knows. 4. Some of the patients especially the older white folk are so ****** and bul**** me and harrased me. And they get preferences and favored! 5. Their are just complaint forms and nothing gets feedback or changes. 6. NOT ALL but most nurses from day shift to night shift dont know the patients meds. 7. The housekeeping is not cleaning and doing their jobs as they should. 8. The staff dont wear safety shoes and have caution. 9. If you don't have medical aid forget about coming here as it is ridiculously overpriced and expensive. 10. If you are easily triggered by loud noises dont come here as the trains are extremely loud. 11. The wifi is absolutely disgusting and slow I could not even work. The postivies: The group sessions are very informative and helpful. I wrote a COMPLIMENT form and shout out to Zemkita the amazing psychologist and the brilliant OT Jordan who together with my psychiatrist helped me through my circumstances.

Several calls, emails back and forth, texts, empty promises and 6 months later Im still in the same situation. Why is it so hard for them to resolve this!? They have been sending me a bill that needs to be sent to the medical aid. I've been in contact with case manager Jacinta Hadskins from the start. I have mailed her again several days ago to please refer me to someone else now and haven't heard from her since nor does she answer her phone.

I was admitted for 2 weeks in Akeso Kenilworth Clinic this year. I received an invoice from them stating I owe them money, I then called my medical aid trying to ascertain why an additional day wasn't paid. The medical aid explained to me that documents were emailed to the Clinic illustrating the number I should stay. The clinic exceeded the number of days by 1 and did not inform me nor my medical aid. They're now harassing me for payment that was NEVER discussed with me. I'm receiving numerous calls, sms, emails and WatsApp message from a collection company which is frustrating!

Wife was suppose to stay for 11 days, suddenly after booking in it was changed to 21 days. Her dosage of the pill was INCREASED from 10g to 20g instead of decreasing the dosage to 5g! They said this was a honest mistake. An honest mistake that would almost double the stay. We decided to get out of there and detox at home. My wife got infected, one of her roommates had TB and the other one a stomach bug. They give you pills out of their hands and also do not wash the glasses afterwards.

I received the most horrible psychiatrist known to mankind. Dr L Parasram. She was only interested in the amount of money she could claim from my medical aid plan. She would give me 1 month scripts so she could see me monthly so she can claim from the Medical Aid. She was NOT interested in my wellbeing as a client of hers. Probably the worst treatment I have ever received. She asked in the middle of a session if I paid her account. Extremely unprofessional environment that is not interested in the wellbeing of people there, but only the money they are willing to put on the table. Be very careful of this place.

I was booked into kenilworth clinic for 7 days. I was suppose to stay for 21 days. I contacted them ahead of the time and told them my medical aid limit is R 31 000.00 and if that would cover the 21 days stay. I was assured that they would charge according to medical aid rates and not to worry. After day 7 I asked for a transfer because I was not happy with the treatment. They refused to transfer me to another clinic and instead discharged me. When the claims came through from the medical aid they had claimed R 31 517.00 for the 7 days I was there. One doctor in particular, Dr Comri claimed for eight 1 hour sessions and I only saw her 3 times I was there and the last time was only 5 minutes. She claimed a total of R 12 000.00 from my medical aid. I reported it to the medical aid but they said it's to difficult to prove that she didn't see me all those times. I would strongly suggest anybody who are thinking of going there to rather choose a different clinic. They are in it just for the money and don't give a **** about their patients.
