A&R Driving school - Theft
Booked 10 lessons last year December. The guy showed up for 2 lessons and after that kept giving excuses why he couldn’t make it. After waiting an hour for a lesson with him, I messaged him and was told he had a family emergency. Fine. I realised this guy is not reliable and things are moving way too slow. I cancel the lessons in January and ask for the refund (minus the 2 lessons I already had taken). It took months of begging for him to pay me something. He has paid about a total of R500 over the course of 2-3 months and still owes me more. He kept giving excuses and in May he stopped responding. Haven’t heard from him since. Highly do not recommend. His comments are turned off on instagram, and no longer has a Facebook account. I believe there are more people he owes money to.

A&R Driving school

Still waiting for a refund after 7 months!!
My daughter pre booked a package deal with A&R. The schedules did not align and we have requested cancellation and a refund. We have been promised a refund on multiple occassions but it never happens - this has been ongoing since June 2024 - 7 months and still no refund!

My daughter pre booked a package deal with A&R. The schedules did not align and we have requested cancellation and a refund. We have been promised a refund on multiple occassions but it never happens - this has been ongoing since June 2024 - 7 months and still no refund!

Unreliable driving instructor
Please DO NOT book with this driving instructor. He cancelled on my cousin multiple times and kept promising her a refund, but still has not refunded her. This is not the first time he’s doing it. Please don’t waste your money

Unreliable driving instructor
Please DO NOT book with this driving instructor. He cancelled on my cousin multiple times and kept promising her a refund, but still has not refunded her. This is not the first time he’s doing it. Please don’t waste your money

What a lying *****....
The worse service ever. The instructor never sticks to appointment times and does not communicate in advance if he cannot make it. I got 2 hours of lessons out of him over a time period of 2 months. I requested a refund for the remaining 3hrs which I paid upfront. I am still waiting for 3 weeks now; he just keeps on making excuses and just stopped replying to my messages. What a *****.

Azhar Benjamin from A&R driving school s a ****MER !! He takes people's money and DOES NOT DELIVER on paid services. A full amount for 10 lessons was paid before lessons including payment for the use of the car, he only did half the lessons and kept making excuses for not doing the rest, kept on making excuses as to why he wasn't able to do the lessons but yet continued to post pics on FB of people he did lessons for when he supposedly wasn't able to! When asked for a refund he made yet more excuses and did not pay the refund for the remaining lessons even though he agreed to pay it... To date still no refund has been received and again kept on making excuses as to why he did not pay back the refund. He is dishonest and will take your money and not deliver for the service... so if you want to be ****med out of your money and not receive the service then A&R will gladly accept your money! A BIG NO!!!! ... I Will NOT recommend Azhar driving school.... You should not be in business A&R Driving School !!
In May my daughter signed up with A&R Driving School in Cape Town. From the very beginning this crowd were not very responsive, taking long to respond to messages as they were continually unavailable via telephone. Most times whenever a lesson were scheduled the instructor would arrive late, no communication before hand to advise. Including the day of the test. She failed the first test and as she had not used all of her previous lessons they agreed that she could receive more lessons and use the car for the next test. It was a huge problem to get them to honor this and even the day of the test they were so late I did not think she would actually get to do it. Anyhow she failed again. Once again they were contacted for assistance and it was agreed she could use the car for the next test. Today was supposed to be the test as well as a lesson beforehand. At 9.23 she gets a Whatsapp message stating that the car has lost its gears so she cannot use it. Supposedly they could organise another car at a further cost but also far away from the agreed meeting point. The cost was not an issue but the distance was. Thus the test was not done. Then promptly at 20.05 this evening they have the audacity to post a picture showing the car in use by some other student who passed his test in it today. So all along they ****, really terribly poor business etiquette !! I would not recommend anybody to use them, find somewhere better.
