Tried to make a booking for one of the luxury suits had to call multiple times send message to the receptionist who kept commenting on how I will damage the furniture and if I have ever booked for lodge before most classist demining comments even threatening to drop the the phone

Had a wonderful time here, an amazing game lodge with a great restaurant. I however feel like they need to be more versatile in accommodating all races. There was an interesting book in my room on the founder and history of the place, but it was written in Afrikaans. The website also graphics and images only relate to a specific race. The place is great but south Africa is a country of diversity. They can do better!!!

Had a wonderful time here, an amazing game lodge with a great restaurant. I however feel like they need to be more versatile in accommodating all races. Morning I reserved 2 rooms at Bona Bona to attend a wedding and the response was quick and good. Unfortunately I requested to cancel one room as guests has been cut from wedding list due to covid-19 restrictions on 19 February 2021. Bona Bona Reservations (Kedibone Mmusi) responded that they will take this up with management and come back to me. On 01 March 2021 I asked again what the outcome is of this matter. Bona Bona (Anke Bouwer) replied " The repayment has been processed but can take 7 to 14 working days." On 03 March 2021 I asked for proof of payment so that I can follow up if the money is not in my account within the business days mentioned. On 12 March 2021 I asked again as I still had no money paid back or response. Bona Bona (Anke Bouwer) replied "Good day,I do apologise. When I said the payment was processed, I meant I sent it to the financial team to do the payment. The next payment run will be next week, so the payment should be done in next week.Sorry for the delay.Kind regards," Today I replied again 29 March 2021 on the progress as I still have not recieved anything or response. Bona Bona( Anke Bouwer) replied "Good day,I do apologize for the inconvenience. I gave the papers for the payment to the finance department, but I wrote down the wrong amount so they paid you an amount today which is the not the final amount you need to receive.I am following up with them in regards to how to rectify the problem. Will let you know shortly when they will pay in the other amount. Kind regards," I replied to this and asked what is the amount that she has given trough to payment? Bona Bona (Anke Bouwer) replied "Good day,They paid the admin fee that we needed to keep.So the amount is R77.52.But I will discuss with them that they minus that amount from the money we need to pay you. Kind regards," I would like to ask management how do you make this mistake as the original amount that should have been paid is R1360.00. Still I have no proof of papers filled in incorrectly or payment processed .... nothing. Never will I recommend Bona Bona to anyone due to the lack of professionalism when it comes to pay back money and taking charge of matters. I have email proof of the whole conversation. Kind regards

Had a wonderful time during the game drive and predator feed was the best experience for my son as we came very close to the animals such tigers, lions, cheetahs. However after such an exciting experience and as famished as we were, we decided to get a table at the restaurant on their premises and just our luck the only table be where could sit at was in the sun and we asked for umbrellas be moved closer to the table but the waiter said they couldn't move. Then asked for the table to be moved closer to the shade as we were traveling with kids and still to no avail that was too much a request for the waiter. Had travel to klerksdorp to get fed after a 4 hour game drive with kids. That left bitter taste in my mouth.

If you ever decided to visit Bona Bona, make sure you meet Kgotso the waiter, his service, friendliness and willingness to help you with anything on the lodge will exceed your expectations. This guy will be the reason for our return. Thank you Kgotso for your extra effort. We also had the kindest tour guid in our Game drive ( such a pitty we didn't get his name) , thank you for making the drive memorable for us and for sharing all your knowledge with us, we hope to be on one of your game drives soon again,

If you ever decided to visit Bona Bona, make sure you meet Kgotso the waiter, his service, friendliness and willingness to help you with anything on the lodge will exceed your expectations. We had our anniversary weekend with them and I will most likely mentioned them to anyone. Barbara went the ekstra mile and she and Danelle are a true blessing for Bona Bona!!! Well done !!
