It is so rare to find a veterinary clinic that conducts home visits. We have two rescue dogs, the one is very skittish and frightens easily. Dr Ajit attended both dogs, what a wonderful experience, he was pleasant, courteous and took time with both dogs. His assistant Clarence was also extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you so much Doctor for your excellent service and for coming the same day I called. This is your go to Vet if you are in the Brackenhurst / Alberton / Meyersdal area. Great service.

My Dog went in for Pneumonia and Passed away after being treated negligently. We were sent to a 24/7 Vet because they don't have 24hr staff yet they have an oxygen machine. Must be an ornament to display their professionalism because those as far as I know should be for 24 HR Vets. They don't have transport to to transfer your pet to a 24hr vet. Then they deceive you into thinking your pet has a chance if you rush them to the 24 hr Vet only to find out that vet on arrival already admitted my dog had no chance of survival. Why the Deceit ? My dog had many surgeries and pulled through. He gets pneumonia and they cant keep him alive. Sad that I still had to pay for his death for their "treatment" of him and get half hearted apologies . I don't blame the Receptionists I blame a so called VET for her ********* negligent attitude. If my pet was cat maybe this Vet would take better care of him. Looks like there is no compassion just after your money. The whole vet industry and the pet medical aids are in on it. Pay monthly premiums they deduct without question. Claim time they have terms and conditions and all other disgusting criteria as lame excuses not to pay then they expect exorbitant payments from state pensioners up front and then make them do the hard work of claiming back from the medical schemes. ***ardly, heartless and thieving industries. Not many follow their oath of the animals' wellbeing. This vet world is disgusting.

From the first engagement with Brackenhurst Veterinary Hospital I had issues, not the vet the receptionists. My daughters doggie is staying with us until she will go over to England. Her doggie went for her Rabies shot and had to wait 1 month before the rabies test can be done (it was not specified in days, only said 1 month). I phoned the the vet and spoke to one of the receptionists on 2/6 to find out when I can bring her in for the rabies blood test, I also explained I was told 1 month and it is know 29 days and she said it is fine it will not be an issue. On my arrival on 3/6 I had to stand and wait until the receptionist completed her cell phone call (was definitely not work related), and then asked can if someone please assist me. The receptionist filled in a form and asked me to sign for the test to be done. When the Vet realized that it has only been 29 days and apologized she send me away with an explanation it must be 30 days or more not less. On 6/6 I dropped doggie off and picked her up the afternoon (no one asked me to verify and documentation). About six weeks later I followed up to find out if the certificate have arrive and it was there. Very happy I went to collect the certificate. Today my daughter informed me that the chip implant dates on the rabies certificate is wrong and they cannot make arrangements to fly her over to England. So I contact the vet and explained the dates was incorrect on the rabies certificate I was shocked of the response I received, I had to pay 250.00 for the certificate to be reissued! I was told it is my responsibility to double check that they have done their work correct! Seriously......... Firstly, the second time I took the doggie in I dropped her off as instructed and handed her over to the vet and picked her up the afternoon, I was not asked to confirm ANY information. When I collected the certificate I was handed over the certificate and was not asked to CONFIRM ANY INFORMATION. If I was told this I would have done it!!!! It is not about the R250, it is about the bad service and the incorrect information given to me or maybe not knowing how their processes work. From my first engagement it was bad, not a happy customer at all!!!!

This is a 5 Star Practice. The moment you walk in you are greeted by warm and friendly receptionists that make you feel welcome. We were there for a second opinion and we left there feeling so much more content. Dr Candice was amazing! I left there feeling so much more knowledgeable and comfortable with the options we had for our doggie. A 5 star rating doesn't do this practice justice. Very very impressed.
