14 June I send measurements and an image of a idea wanted for a build in office library in our entrance lobby. I was contacted back with a sketch a their "custom made"images of similar to what I want. I made a choice and apart from the sketch, we worked on the image send. This was meant as gift for my 60th birthday and the full amount was requested, not half deposit like any other companies....my husband paid...the delivery was late, not 3-4 weeks but 5 weeks. On arrival I was in tears...it was glorified bookshelves..I wanted to send it back immediately, but the delivery guy said, they are understanding, he knows them...call them, keep it they will fix the problem. the desk was just an unfinished piece of wood painted, not what I wanted, the cupboard doors did not close...and one night we heard one harsh sound...the shelves broke, I lost limited edition red Argilla cookware, and send the info and pictures to Kavina, and she just said its not their problem sorry for my loss....the shelves were not properly done...it was loose..and this was noted with her first visit the cupboard with doors was to replace a cabinet for my glassware. They collected the cupboards to repair the shelves and rounded the desk part, we waited 3 weeks...and again, we had to pay for the delivery...(not our fault,) I emailed the owner to inform him of my frustration and disappointment, He did not reply, he send another girl with Kavina to have a look at the door still not closing...and then their excuse was, they've got new carpenters...we thought getting a legit company would make our lives easy, this is suppose to be pretty especially for an entrance to the house.. but this is heartbreaking every time I look at it, its not even ceiling to floor...it absolutely ugly...we wont be able to sell it for 5% of what we paid...if they want to do the decent thing, refund my husband...or make the units as you claim you can...this what we've got is not acceptable.

This review relates to the branch in Strand, Cape Town Amazing service received from Samia, but the manager/owner Andrew has no idea what customer service is. Bought a mattress 12 months ago, but it was not the same as the previous two I had (the reason why I wanted another). From there it was back and forth, back and forth trying out "the same mattress" under the same label, but clearly they were not manufactured the same. This carried on well into February, could even have been longer. Now the bed is bumpy and worn at some sides, though I would turn it exactly as per their instructions and after that, about every 2, at most, 3 weeks. My neck and back suffered severely because of the terrible quality of the mattress: 3 weeks ago I had a rhizotomy for my neck, and last night I was admitted to hospital for my back. I tried to reason with Andrew, but he just kept saying that the mattresses are all the same since he started manufacturing them 30 years ago. Yeah, right! He's not forthcoming at all, threw the phone down in my ear when I became unhappy with his defensive demeanor and in the end, I got NO refund and NO service. That's what you get from being a customer for over 15 years. Well done, Andrew, well done!

I needed to purchase a frame and mattress with storage drawers underneath along with a bedside table. I tried to get a quotation from another company and I’m still waiting for a quote. I phoned Brothers in Parow and Yvonne was incredibly helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Then delivery arrived and I was equally impressed by how efficient and helpful the delivery crew were. Well Done guys and a special Thanks to Yvonne Christians. You’ve restored my faith in honest sales people. You are an asset to the company

More than a month ago, I visited Brothers Pine and Mattress in Somerset Mall. I requested a quote for customized patio table and benches, and a dresser. We showed them the pictures which we want, and upon agreement that they will be able to do it, paid a deposit of R2200. The promise was made to us that it would take 14 days for delivery. After the 14 days, I got a phonecall, about the table, and the dresser. Again upon agreement, was promised that the furniture would be delivered within the next 7 days. Week later, no phone call, and no delivery. I went there, to find out that all the other furniture was delivered from their factory, except my patio furniture. Also the dresser was not what I requested. Another week later, after going there every week, still no patio furniture, and the dresser was only painted, but not the color we chose. The lady then asked if we want our deposit back. I said no, I will give them another few days to show me they can deliver. Another week later, I went there, to find out the patio table was still not there. I went home, and phoned them to cancel the order after the saleslady asked me again, whether I want to cancel the order. Then a phone call, to say that the furniture was custom made, and that the saleslady was not supposed to promise me my full refund (which she did). Brothers Somerset Mall, will never, ever get a good referral from me. All I want, is my R2200 deposit as soon as possible. The most horrible experience. Empty promises each and every week I went there to follow up. No service. Give back my deposit! Because I never got ANYTHING which I ordered.
