After 6 years with CANSA we are considering taking our needs elsewhere. My mom has two stomas so you can imagine she goes through ostomy products quickly depending on how difficult her Ileostomy is. After Zanap Joseph left it has gone down the drain. You should consider getting her back. Double or tripple the salary she is getting where she works now and get her back.

A Triumphant Celebration of Empowerment and Inspiration! I had the privilege of attending the extraordinary event hosted by the incomparable Mpumi Pule, in partnership with CANSA and the Department of Health. This unforgettable Sunday afternoon at Roar Bistro and Bar in Sandton was a masterclass in elegance, inspiration, and community building. The dress code, smart casual with a touch of color, was brought to life by the stylish ladies, who truly dressed to impress. The venue, with its sophisticated ambiance, provided the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of learning, connection, and celebration. The culinary experience, crafted by Mpumi Pule and the head chef, was a 3-course masterpiece that delighted our taste buds. Each dish was a testament to the hosts' attention to detail and commitment to excellence. The guest speakers were truly exceptional, sharing insightful and thought-provoking discussions that left us informed, motivated, and inspired. Their passion for making a positive impact resonated deeply, aligning perfectly with Mpumi's advocacy for Education, particularly in STEM fields. What struck me most was the sense of community and camaraderie that filled the room. Mpumi's dedication to helping others and making a sustainable difference shone brightly throughout the event. Congratulations, Mpumi, on an outstanding event! Your passion, expertise, and generosity of spirit have created a lasting impact. I'm honored to have been part of this unforgettable experience.

The below email is what I wrote to CANSA Rustenburg due to their poor and rude service! To whom it may concern, I am writing this letter of complaint to raise your awareness on how CANSA in Rustenburg treat their customers. I am extremely upset by the poor and rude service my mom received by the staff members on Friday, 28 January 2022. My mother, who suffers with stage 3 breast cancer and Chronic Asthma reached out in person for help at the CANSA Centre in Olienhoutln Ave. She was referred by Hospice, since they also refused to provide any care in any possible way. She was in extreme pain and felt hopeless. CANSA refused to assist my mother multiple times before, she was in desperate need for any help or any assistance, and the staff members at the front desk didn't show any interest and couldn't even lift their chin up to look at her or listen to her story. Instead of having a conversation with her or trying to help, they just continued with what they were busy with and talked in their own language so that my mother couldn't understand what they were saying. This is absolutely disrespectful and my mom didn't deserve this poor service. According to google, ''CANSA is a leader in the fight against cancer, the purpose is to offer a unique, integrated service to the public and to all people affected by cancer.'' Please can someone tell me where do they offer this ''unique, integrated service to the public'' since this is not what my mom received at all?? I am the daughter of Cynthia Mey, and situated in Cape Town. It is heartbreaking to see that people that offers services for care, are so careless (hence I'm so far away). I am going to take this matter further, this is unacceptable.

Doing business with Koolachem was the biggest mistake of my life. We had an agreement that they have still not delivered. I would work on the farm for free for one year Koolachem would Feed me as well as their son eats Fix my backie Get me electronics to launch my product Farm vehicle Replacement of all tools, clothes and shoes damaged. I was not issued work clothes hence they would replace. Enough petrol to travel away from farm due to isolation problems Build me a building to stay in I have stayed in a container for the entire contract. My backie is broken so can't leave farm. My illegal farm vehicle with no licence nearly caused my death. The back wheel came of in its entirety rolling down the hill almost hitting cars while the backie almost went into the barrier next to a big drop. Alex Hull at Koolachem used to play with my food money. Stalling it so I could go hungry. 13 days in total. They left me without water for three weeks having to use the stream to wash.... I used to be phoned, messaged all hours of the day and night causing me to now have a sleeping problem. From 22:00 till 4:00 am. They harrassed me but I couldn't leave the farm. No petrol or vehicle broken... They did not honour my electronics for my business so have got nothing. They replaced my Hitech buffalo uppers boot costing R1800 with Rebel work boots that are too narrow for my feet. They hounded me for months to to stay beyond my contract. Koolachem supply Shield Chem with wholesale cream. Shield cream bottle for Clicks, Spar, Dischem and Crazy store. Koolachem has the CANSA brand. CANSA, Clicks, Spar, Dischem and Crazy store all endorse companies that treat people unethically. I have contacted them begging, imploring for help. They have all turned a deaf ear on the unethical treatment by their suppliers. No food for tomorrow. This isn't a good farm. This a tree farm for your future mosquito cream. I want nothing to do with this farm as Alex let slip, that, due to the high number on trees per hectare, the ground will loose productivity after 5 years. They sign 5 year agreements with farmers and then the farmers land is pretty useless unless there is a massive investment. This is a big con. The irony is CANSA have an ethics department but seem to prefer money. I don't want people to loose, get hurt...just want Koolachem to be ethical. How ethical are companies like Clicks, Spar, Crazy store and Dischem that they willfully turn a blind eye. If one goes down this path, I guess its a slippery slide downhill. Bobby Aitken

I would have expected CANSA ethics department to handle ethics of suppliers and not just chase the money. They turn a blind eye on unethical behaviour by Koolachem. Sis on you bunch

Every since my mother passed away 10 years ago from throat cancer, I’ve been a huge supporter of the Cansa association. In the last 2 years, I have start making monthly cash donations and have even donated my hair to the cause. Which is why it disappoints me to post this, but I am extremely upset with the lack of response I have received in the last few weeks. We have another close family member now diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and I have contacted both your Cape Town branch, as well as the call centre to request for assistance/guidance/counselling on how to handle the current situation for both the family and the effected patient… its been over a week and I am still waiting on a call back or contact point. Its actually quite sad, because I receive regular calls from the call centre asking for the monthly donations to be increased in order to assist affected patients, but when I and my family are in need, no assistance is received. Extremely disappointed!!!

Good day, I have been tying to contact this organization. For assistance for a very long time since beginning of last year. I called the head office and explained what assistance I require and I also left messages for the west rand offices. They always told me that everyone is in a meeting they will call me back. I left several messages but to no joy. I am a stag 4 colon cancer patient and they have absolutely no sympathy for their fellow members. A load of false advertising as they do not live up to their promises as per their marketing. My husband is also my caregiver and needed help but if we cannot get a hold of them how else are we supposed to help. All the fundraising projects and advertising but you can't help fellow cancer patients who are suffering this illness. What is the use.
