The factory service purchasing of spares is shockingly bad. Be aware that if you place an order for spares (even if you pay up front in full) will be fraught with excuses, delays, lack of communication, and unavailability of key service providers. No one returns calls as promised; people instead take time off, are caught up in meetings and are conducting stock takes and therefore too busy to either take a query call or even respectfully return a call. The number of excuses (and the variety of excuses) from the receptionist as to why I can't speak to Johanna is a really bad indictment of this company. Then, after much trying, suddenly certain parts are not in stock, have not been invoiced, or approval is needed from the Finance manager. The business processes at this company are seriously at fault, and client focus simply does not exist. Anyone investing in umbrellas as we did from this company should be aware that they should not expect after-sales service or expect to wait many months for repairs.

I have bought 2 sun umbrellas from Cape Umbrellas over the past 20 years. I would buy more but they last so long, are so well made, so durable that I have had no need until a storm picked up one and cartwheeled it over the house. I called Cape Umbrella and discussed with Johanna. Within days, they collected, assessed, sent me the most reasonable quote I could have imagined, repaired it and delivered it back to me. It now works as well as ever. Thank you, Johanna, and thank you Cape Umbrella. Keep up the good work.

I have bought 2 sun umbrellas from Cape Umbrellas over the past 20 years. I would buy more but they last so long, are so well made, so durable that I have had no need until a storm picked up one and cartwheeled it over the house. I called Cape Umbrella and discussed with Johanna. Within days, they collected, assessed, sent me the most reasonable quote I could have imagined, repaired it and delivered it back to me. It now works as well as ever. Thank you, Johanna, and thank you Cape Umbrella. Keep up the good work.

There as only so many times you can use the automated service saying 'we are experiencing high call volumes'. I have tried for 2 weeks, calling, emailing, WhatsApp and none of the methods seems to be working to get a response from someone in the pension fund office. Quick and easy to offer you wonderful solutions, but if you need to speak to someone regarding your own money, no one is available to assist.

Terrible service and lies. After placing an order for a patio bench (cost in excess of R7000) through OneDayOne almost 30working days ago, we still have not received our product. We have been sent from pillar to post by both OneDayOnly and Cape Umbrellas and have blatently been **** to about the shipment date of the bench. So here we are R7000 poorer and nothing to show for it. Shame on you! Please think twice about ordering form Cape Umbrellas or OneDayOnly - don't make the same mistake we did!

We have been sent from pillar to post by both OneDayOnly and Cape Umbrellas and have blatently been **** to about the shipment date of the bench. So here we are R7000 poorer and nothing to show for it. Shame on you! Please think twice about ordering form Cape Umbrellas or OneDayOnly - don't make the same mistake we did!

They suooly a Cantilver umbrella costing almost R 11 000 to Takealot. We ordered via Takealot but returned the item TWICE as a cement base was never delivered but CLEARLY advertised on Takealot as being INCLUDED with the umbrella and price! Trying to order from them directly is a mission as no prices are advertised on their website and delivery costs are expensive.We eventually had ro demand a refund from Takelot as the final outcome was that there are no more cement bases available. I wonder how they think we can secure a 3m x 3m Cantilever umbrella without a solid base?

I am writing to register my disappointment regarding the poor customer service that I have received from Cape Umbrellas. As a valued customer, I expect to be treated with respect and professionalism when engaging with the company, but unfortunately, the service that I received was far from satisfactory. From the moment I placed my order, I noticed that the customer service was lacking. The staff members that I interacted with seemed annoyed by my inquiries and requests for information, and the ordering process was disorganized and confusing. I received my order after much struggle. In just 5 times we have used the umbrella, I discovered that it was faulty, and I immediately contacted your customer service department to seek assistance in rectifying the issue. Cleary under warranty. However, the service that I received was extremely disappointing. I had to follow up every day to request feedback, and your staff members were unresponsive and unhelpful in their responses. They publish videos of wind durability of their umbrellas and there is no way my umbrella experience anything close to that. Finally, after several attempts, your representative came to pick up the faulty umbrella. However, I was appalled when I received a reply that I have to pay for the repairs, which is unreasonable, considering that the item was faulty after only five times I've used the umbrella. I am very disappointed by this experience, and I strongly believe that I deserve better treatment as a customer. I will be sharing my experience with my friends and colleagues, as well as online review platforms. Placed an order for 2 Cape umbrellas 15Nov22 and paid in full. still not delivered and terrible communication from them. Order was placed well in advanced for delivery in 2022. Nothing happens, bad service and support.
