Worst customer service and experience & advise. September 2025 we taken our vehicle in for a major service, we mentioned that the CV joints were making a noise, and was told that they cannot fix it. We were told to go a third party, which they told us to apply a spray. We taken the vehicle back to Car Service City Durbanville assist us to apply the spray, as we have no knowledge how to apply the spray, which they agreed on. After a few days of driving the vehicle we noticed, at home the vehicle is messing a lot of oil were the oil was app****. We had taken the vehicle back to Car Service City Durbanville, and asked them to inspected the vehicle, the manager said that they over sprayed the oil and it will stop after awhile. After awhile driving the vehicle the CV had broken while driving with my family in the vehicle. My question is, they are the professionals, never was it told to us that the car is unsafe to drive and the CVs need replacing. I was told by reputable professionals, if the CV joints make a noise they need to replaced straight away, their advise was poor and very poor customer service. My vehicle is currently in repairs, and we will not have a vehicle for 5 days, and we currently on holiday, that is a nice feeling. Plus I am waiting on the bill on fixing our vehicle. I can tell you I went back a few days ago, and spoken to two managers regarding the experience. Everything I mentioned they had better answers, the principle of the story is Car Service City Durbanville, you gave the advise and NEVER said to us the vehicle is unsafe to drive! You are the professionals, Car Service City Durbanville!

I usually only take my car in for routine servicing. However, I noticed an oil leak and couldn't determine the source. After inspection, the service center identified the issue as a head gasket problem. They replaced it at a significant cost, but the oil leak persisted. Upon re-inspection, they claimed it was the main rear seal, which led to additional charges, totaling over R10K. The following day, my car began jerking, losing power, and cutting out. They then suggested it was the crank sensor. At this point, I lost confidence in their expertise and sought a second opinion. It was confirmed that the real issue was faulty coil packs, not the parts identified by the Car Service Centre. The second mechanic also pointed out an oil leak through the oil cap, which CSC failed to detect. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at Durbanville CSC.

SEEMS YOU FIX STUFF AN BREAK STUFF SO THAT THE CAR MUST COME BACK WE ALMOST SPEND 11K ON THE CAR THAT IS NOT FIXED THE CAR WAS IN A BETTER STATE BEFORE YOU GUYS WORKED ON IT. I WAS A HAPPY CUSTOMER AT FIRST NOW YOU JUST LOST ANOTHER CUSTOMER DUE TO YOUR ARROGANCE. AND I AM NOT THE FIRST CUSTOMER COMPLAINING ABOUT YOUR SERVICE. Our VW Touran had kicked up a couple of issues and the latest one was after a service. My husband decided to try out Car Service City Durbanville because it wasn't far and I think someone recommended them. They managed to plug something back in and then determined the real issue and they only charged us for about an hour's labour (even though it had taken longer). They clearly explained the next steps and were open and honest about everything from the start. I definitely had a good experience and we are now just waiting for a good time to schedule the work. #SupportLocal It's so easy to get taken for a ride when it comes to cars, but these are guys you can trust

I am a driving instructor and depend on my car for my income. I am a client for a while with Car Service City Durbanville. In the beginning I received very good service, friendly people and very helpful - sometimes on short notice they assisted me. All of that had changed for the worst. The 5th July I complained about a noise on the wheels if turning sharp, they only rotated the tyres whilst I had it done about 2 weeks prior to this, A oil leak was discovered which was fixed. On the 9th I took the car into a fitment centre because of the noise on the wheels and they told me there is a oil leak which needs to be fixed first because it damage the rubber. I had the engine cleaned first to determine if it was the original leak that CSC fixed, Was told to leave the car there for a full day (no income for me then), After that day i was told that it is a different oil leak and I will have to book the car in again for a full day since it there is oil on the timing belt then that must be replace as well. Again a full day taken off and again loosing another full days income. A client of mine called to say she booked her drivers for this morning at 9h00 which ment I would be done by 10h00. I sent Robert a mail confirming my late arrival due to the drivers test. He then replied that it is cutting it fine which I fully understand. I then sent Robert a follow up mail asking him to do his best to get the car done by end of the day and if not to keep me posted, could arrange for students to move their appointments for tomorrow to a little later, I also asked for the indicator stalk to be replaced which he ordered after my previous visit. Today only the indicator stalk was replaced and I was told to bring the car in again for a full day to fix the oil leak. When I asked him why he did not call me to say that the car will not be ready today than I could have move everybody a little later tomorrow. His comment is that he misunderstood my mail.
