I bought the Astute Smart Controller two months ago and it was working very well, until after an unexpected power outage. When switching the unit back into service after power was restored, it blew a component and obviously couldn't work after that. I sent e-mail to CBi, the manufacturer, complaining about bad workmanship. To my surprise they repsonded in such a positive way, that the unit will now be replaced free of charge. This is what we expect of local companies and CBi certainly stands up to the ethics of a business worth supporting.

It's not every day that I am impressed, but when I requested assistance yesterday for a smart geyser device from Voltex and they put me in touch with the supplier, CBI-Electric. I anticipated a weeks-long struggle to get assistance. To my surprise, in the span of an afternoon, they have phoned me, made themselves available after 17:00 even though I said it's OK for the next day, assisted me and sorted my problem out. They have even sent me support documents afterward. These are the kind of suppliers that makes one's day and want one to support them just even more. Thank you very much to Stan and his team at CBI.

I have an issue with a CBI electronic time switch and sent them an email on 27 January 2021 Hi I have 2 of these connected. However, if the power goes off past 10 minutes, they drop the actual time. The programmed schedule is is not lost, only the actual time and it is a nuisance to keep resetting them. The time should be stored for at least 12 - 24 hours according to your data sheet NO RESPONSE Great customer service Will I buy more of their products?? NO NO NO NO

This company has stolen an idea proposed to them after an SME was trying to partner with them. (K.Flack) and Mr Stan Wilson has lied to us in a recording. This company must stop getting business from the government.

I would like to state my disapproval at the lack of communication, commitment and compassion I received from the Human Resource department at CBI- Electric in Brits. In respect of recent events that took place and the way in which my specific situation was handled I can only say that this company's HR department is unprofessional and incompetent in resolving my matter as objectively and swiftly as possible. The lack of commitment in this regard does not only reflect badly on the HR Department, but also on CBI- Electric as a company.

Due to the ignorance of this department, my matter could have been resolved within months, but from the start they have not been open and honest about some issues. If this HR Department provided me with the correct information in a timely manner, instead of getting side-tracked by hearsay commentary by external elements this matter could have been finalized already.

I can only speak from my personal experience with this department and the difficulties I faced during this never-ending ordeal, and that I can only hope the quality of this department's service should increase and a bit of personal reflection should be done because after all you are the Human Resource department. An HR Department should be fair, but not inhuman.

I'm utterly discussed with the clear disregard of the rules of the road that was exercised by the driver of the CBi electric Toyota Yaris with number place VDY992GP (or something like that).

Firstly, at the Olifantsfontein Road N1 on ramp, the driver made an illegal turn going trying to cut into a turn only lane late while in an intersection. Clearly he wasn't willing to wait 30 - 60s in a queue of cars to do so safely and within the rules of the road.

After doing this, he proceeded to almost hitting my car, after which he tried cutting me off, and when he failed, he started using his fingers to show me various signs and well as shouting something I clearly couldn't hear as I was in a different car.

It then seemed like he tried driving into me by driving dangerously close to my car while continuing his visual assault.

If this is the type of people who represent CBi electric, then I can only confirm that they clearly are extremely unprofessional and have disregard for the law and for the safety of other people.

Please learn how to drive before you endanger other people on the road.
