<p>Good day,</p> <p> </p> <p>We logged logged a claim with Santam several months ago. The claim was approved, but we were not happy with the settlement amount, or the way the claim was handled, as we were being insulted and discriminated against. The claim was then escalated to Censeo. Censeo did even more damage than Santam.</p> <p><br /> </p> <p>We subsequently took the matter to the ombudsman. Nothing has come of it. It has been two months since we have heard anything.</p> <p> </p> <p>We are here to cry for help from anyone who sees this post and is willing to assist us with Legal Respresentation.</p> <p> </p> <p><br />We have been discriminated against for our career choice, as well as our ***ual orientation.<br />We have been ignored.<br />We are victims of a hate crime.<br />Santam took 2 months worth of premiums two months after cancelling our cover.<br />Santam is refusing to send us recordings of the calls and conversations.<br />We have been traumatized emotionally.<br />We are being accused of fraud. <br />We have been treated like animals from day 1.<br /> </p> <p>We will not stand for the way that Santam has treated us. <p>My Vehicle was involved in an accident on the 3rd of August, Area towing people took the car to the approved repair centre, I was told an assessor was appointed who went and viewed the car, The Assessor then called me to take time off work and take them to the scene which I did, had an interview with me and told me to fill in some declarations and affidavits in front of a commisioner of oaths, I took time off work again and did so on the same day,Asessor told me he would finalise his report on COB monday 15th August and give me a call the next morning, this never happened, I called santam to enquire they referred me to a new different "internal assesor" who then said he was the one who assessed and went to view the vehicle and was done with his assesment and was waiting on assesor 1* to send him his report, I lodged an accident report with SAPS Amanzimtoti on the same day as the accident stating what has transpired instead santam and its assesors have turned my claim into a witch hunt, calling and intimidating my wife who was never at the scene, and calling the towing company to intimidate them and im told my claim is still awaiting witness verification from a friend of mine who was not involved/at the accident in the first place.</p> <p> </p> <p>When I joined santam i was told it is a leading insurer, these are all marketing lies to suck us dry with high premiums and not settle claims but look for loop holes to get out of paying.</p> <p> </p> <p>As for my broker, Insurers like Santam makes these brokers look untrustworthy while it is Santams Modus Operandi to not settle claims,</p> <p> </p> <p>I regret the day I decided to insure with Santam as I am now 18/08/2016 being told to take more time off work to go to the assesors offices for Lord knows what!!</p>

So after having to struggle with Santam and the appointed Claims Handler after having been burgaled this past weekend, the lack of service continues, it took me 2 days to get communication via Santam regarding my claim after logging it within 24 hours (my part done) and forwading requested documents (yet again, my part done) I get a call from Santam yesterday stating they dont know why an assessor hasnt been appointed yet, so Censeo eventually comes to light, appoints the assessor as Thys Swart yesterday and indicated this person will call me earliest today for an appointment, I have yet again received no feedback, communication, follow up... NOTHING!!!<br> This is a traumatic experience believe it or not, I have kids, I would like to return my life to normal after this incident, not have my 3 year old son frightened by what has occured but we are on day 4 after the incident and no one has even been to my home.<br> Whats the use of having apparently the best insurance company that is suppose to make things like this a painless experience but they are pathetic with customer service, but not so pathetic to take their premium,and censeo lacks the same in their business!! Communication

+-2 months ago someone bumped into my car while it was parked.The damage didnt seem bad until the next day the ignition stopped working.The car was taken in and Shirley Bell was the broker.I had just dropped her as a broker after she informed me my insurance would be cancelled as this claim would cost R 26000.In spite, she sabotaged the process with the assessors,CENSEO, making them questioning the validity of the issue,then the assessors took over a month to assess that a pin had popped out and yes it was related to the accident.On my birthday I was called in brought to tears by 3 males (I recorded this convo).By the time my car hire had lapsed it was still being 'assessed'.In a previous accident caused by my ex,Santam had simply extended the rental.I received this call and said to Eurocar to contact the broker and Santam as they did last time for extension.I did not hear from them or anyone,and the vehicle was still being assessed and had not been fixed, the rental was extended. Eurocar wants to charge me R 3000 for the hire car for a claim that worked out to R4500 of which I pay R3500.Taking so long to assess is not my issue.Santam, CENSEO and Shirley, take some responsibility!
