We are going into four days without electricity and this matter was reported, mind you it’s winter and we have kids to prepare for school and our food has gone rotten, we keep calling them and nothing happens, come on guys..we are in the Lombardy west area, more then 50 houses have no electricity

City Power is honestly useless. I stay in Parktown, close to Braamfontein, and every time we have a power outage, it lasts five days or more. The last time we were affected, we literally had to throw food away after day five. I honestly don’t understand their level of thinking. How are people surviving? How are kids managing to study when exams are coming up? How are people charging their devices and working for so many days without electricity? It’s honestly frustrating, especially for some of us who don’t know anyone nearby who can assist us in the meantime. Parktown has not had electricity since the weekend, and I’m honestly fed up with their service. When you call, you wait in a queue of more than 20 people, and when you request a callback, they never call back. I’m not sure why they even gave us that option.

No power for over 4 days in the Roodepoort area, we've been logging faults and calling their toll free number, only to be told that that 2 two technicians allocated to us have had their phones off for two days! That's unacceptable!

Power Issues for more than 9 years and still today is a problem . Why do we pay for something we never have. We sit more without Power than actually having Power. Galteemore street never has stable power every two days then off again . We as a community are unhappy with this service .if we could change to someone else we would. Phone and waste your time . Switching Geysers off to have stable power is not the way , who pays for damaged appliances, who pays for wasting our money, who pays for wasting our time . Guess who no one cares .

Despite reporting the fault, there has been no update on the cause of the outage or the estimated time of restoration. This situation is causing serious inconvenience, including food spoilage and safety concerns. It is unacceptable for customers to be left without electricity for this long without proper communication or urgency. I request immediate intervention and a clear update on: * The cause of the outage * Estimated time of restoration * What actions are being taken to resolve the issue I expect Eskom to treat this matter as urgent and provide feedback as soon as possible.

Terrible bunch of ****s, there has been no lights for 6 days and when you call them they hang up on you... when you finally get through to someone they just lie to you... I got told technicians are working on the substations I literally drove to each and to my surprize nobody there that's how hard at work they are... but all surrounding areas now have electricity while we sit without lights and city power does nothing but lie about what they doing. I took pictures and videos which I will be posting on every social platform because when you miss a payment they remind you daily until you pat and they waste no time in cutting your service... the only things they fast with is taking money and cutting service but when it comes to restoring a service weeks upon weeks

Very bad during May every year since 2024 , I reside in Braam and I’m a student ,we get power outage I have teaching practice in may every year imagine waking up to no electricity no hot water, no lunchbox 😭😭😭Hoping for the best this year.
