I sent my car for service in Jan 2023 at CMH Opel in Cornubia, Durban. And the consultant that worked there reported that they accidently dented my car, at the back, during the service. He committed to calling me the following week to plan around getting panelbeaters to fix the dent. I was out of Durban for a long time, for business, and until I returned (June 2023) no feedback was provided. I personally went there to enquire about an a new issue on the car and then also asked about them fixing the dent. They advised that they have no recollection of this dent issue and the consultant, who I dealt with in Jan, had since left. In June, they advised that they would investigate and get back to me but nothing. I followed up yesterday, 07 August and still there was no resolution or investigation conducted. The new consultant stated that I speak to the Service Manager but he/ she was busy at the time of my call. I was asked to leave a message and they would get back to me. I have still not heard from them. I am deeply disappointed in Opel around this and their lack of accountability and responsibility. I asked them to check on my Car notes for the service done in Jan, but they state that nothing was there. I also asked them to contact the former consultant but they advised that they couldn't. I am now left hopeless in fixing this. I think, 2 days after my service in Jan, I got a call to rate my experience and I informed those people of the dent on my car but till today, 08 August, my car is still not fixed. Please assist urgently.

Actually this should be a minus rating. I took my car into Open Umhlanga on the 5 December 2022 as the engine warning light came on. It took them almost 2 days to get the results from diagnostics It took them another 3 days to let me have the report. The insurance company approved the claim after requesting the report from them. Opel then ordered the part on the 14th December after 2 weeks of back and forth. Today only they tell me that the manufacture in France has not yet invoiced them and only after receipt of the invoice and payment will estimated time of arrival be 21 days thereafter. I am from Johannesburg and was only holiday in Durban when this happened. I cannot get home to work as I am stuck here. I am will now have to take unpaid leave until the part arrives perhaps 21days from now and then add on days to repair. I was told I will be given a courtesy vehicle and therafter told I needed to pay R2200 fuel levy. I did not budget for this. I was then told this is not their problem! I am 60 years old and have been a loyal customer to Opel. This being my 2nd Opel. THIS IS REAL SHODDY SERVICE TO A LOYAL CUSTOMER. They tell me they can't do anything about it as it is now with France!!!

I have been very understanding by CMH Umhlanga has taken me for a ride and I am really angered. I dont know whether they undermine me because I am a black person or they have other reason for undermining me in such a manner. I left my car with them on 14 June and they decided that they would only attend to it on the 17th of June - my car was just parked there at their premises and they even moved it from the front to the back of the workshop. I had to call Sugen and ask whats happening, only then that it was moved into the workshop and diagnosed, only to tell me that I need to wait for another 5 days before my car would be fixed. Come the end of that five days, they told me that they had to replace the engine and I had to wait for a further three weeks. Well their service manager ensured me that I would be given a rental car to use in the meantime - it's been a week now I still don't have that rental car. I have to deal with frustration of public transport in a rural area, I have to have my kids skip school occasionally because I drop them off at school. The guys at CMH Umhlanga are just quite, not telling me whats happening - nothing! I am disgusted. I could never recommend this branch to anyone.

I got an amazing deal on my new Opel from their dealership in Umhlanga. They have the best selection of vehicles, and their showroom is spotless. I especially like their waiting/seating customer area, as they have coffee and refreshments on offer, which is a nice touch. The best part is that their entire sales team treat you like family and they go out of their way to bring you the best deals in SA! Super job guys!

WHAT A RIP OFF!! I purchased my pre-owned Opel corsa at CMH-Opel Umhlanga online(as iam based in JHB) through their sales consultant(Hennie),the purchase went successfully and I received my vehicle. However within 7 after receiving the vehicle I observed a lot of defects on the vehicle which evidently show that the vehicle was previously involved in an accident and both the front and rear side were affected.I did enquire on several times with the salesman about the vehicle accident history and his answer was "Not that I know of" which was suspicious as the answer is an easy Yes or No.I did do my part and inform Hennie and his manager (Jeff) about this defects as the front bumper alignment was terrible and Hennie said they will sort it out, i shouldn't stress about it.A whole month passed and they didn't address my matter at all. I then filed a complaint with Ombudsman and through their assistance only my front RH headlight got replaced.I then enquired with CMH-Opel Umhlanga again to find out why the front bumper and bonnet alignment was not fixed and Christo (the new Salesman allocated to deal with this matter) told me that their company is not liable to fix that as anything could have happened. To my surprise, this is the same company that agreed to fix the car and all of a sudden they turning tables. I then decided to budget the whole year and fix my vehicle at my own extra costs, as I've already purchased it cash not forgetting that they also send the vehicle service book and registration papers a month later after couple of enquiries I made. I honestly regret trusting this dealership with online purchase and paying over R130K for an ACCIDENTAL vehicle that I was never informed about.
