I have been under debt review since 2020 and am now in the process of clearing my name. Two of my creditors have already issued prescription letters confirming that my accounts are older than 5 years and legally unenforceable. However, Cobol Finance has failed to respond to my repeated requests for a prescription letter. This delay is preventing me from finalizing my clearance certificate and removing the debt review flag from my credit profile, even though my credit report is clean with no missed payments, inquiries, or judgments. I demand urgent action from Cobol Finance to issue the required prescription letter. Failure to respond will leave me no choice but to escalate this matter to the National Credit Regulator.

Cobol Finance has been pathetic. I paid off my account over 3 years ago and they show up on my ITC profiles as in default. I've requested on email and telephonically for them to update my profile on ITC, and that was over 5 months ago. When I call, I'm referred to some else every time. It is frustrating.

I keep on receiving threatening messages from COBOL, in spite of me contacting them more that 20 times they still have the audacity to send me messages saying I owe them R3000 and that i must either pay R360 or settle R3030. i have NEVER taken out a loan from Cobol and certainly not planning to. I am NOT MS Mpofu I am Ms Phasumane. I have requested them to remove my details from their system but they keep on harassing me.

I do not appreciate being harassed with Sms's the entire day. How the hell do you explain sending me sms's at 23h00, 02h00, and 03h00!!!!!!!! Is it not ******* to be contacting people outside of working hours????? I will be reporting this company to the Council of Debt Collectors Generally, debt collectors can’t call you at an unusual time or place, or at a time or place they know is inconvenient to you. They are generally prohibited from contacting you before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m. The law also requires debt collectors to follow instructions you give them about when and where you don’t want to be contacted. So how are you messaging me at these hours??????

Good Day I don't take kindly to threats by anyone. All there people there are merely employees not shareholders.I have requested my balance more than once in April only after I didn't pay the normal R500 in April did I receive the balance of R1300 or so.I paid R500 in yesterday but still get a threatening call this morning that I will handed over. How pathetic is that from a balance of R6800 and you hand me over for R800 because I'm not gonna allow the staff to push me to settle R1300 whereas I could have paid R500 in April,R500 in May be left with only R300 for June but since no one responded on time with regards to my balance request in April I then decided not pay in April however I paid yesterday R500 now I'm left with R800. Stop harassing me I'm paying this account.

Hi everyone i am being constantly harresed by debt collectors appointed by cobol finance for an account that has been PRESCRIBED for almost 7-8 years at which at the time of my retrenchment at the company i was employed at the time i have forwarded my relevant paperwork to COBOL and did not receive any form of contact from Cobol up until last year at about this time of the year from MDC debt collectors ( Who is a company that buys PRESCRIBED debt from companies and ILLEGALLY try to collect money from accounts that is not even listed on any bureau) and have told them on various occasions that what they are doing is ILLEGAL not that it stopped them from sending me countless emails and sms's along with phoning me up to 5 times a day basically trying to force me to make a payment and some of the agents even getting rude and having massive attitudes when you lay the law in front of them... Now i am getting harresed by a company called JER 31AND ASSOCIATES RECOVERIES for payment which i am not liable for as the debt is prescribed i am going to report COBOL FINANCE along with JER 31 AND ASSOCIATES to the CBA OMBITSMAN if the harresment of the ILLEGAL act of trying to collect payment for debt that according to the CBASA does not exist hence not being listed on any BUREAU of S.A

This is so dissapointing and sad as I applied for a quick loan with Cobol not knowing I would be signed for a scam, the interest rate is added even when paying as per statement. They stopped debiting from me till i find out that I have been handed over by them. I request statement and I see they they stopped debiting me then they started adding interests the debt I thought was payed out. Now I am being called and told that I should pay up what I owe them when I've payed 3times more then a 2000 quick loan
