Our T&C's, available on our website stipulate, 1 full calendar month cancellation notice and that the customer must return the equipment by the 7th of the following month. Contract was signed by Antonia accepting our T&C's. We reserve the right if a customer defaults to hand over the customer with all charges incurred (including installation fees that were initially waived). Had Antonia returned the equipment in time and paid the subscription owed to ConnectNet, no further fees would have been levied. ConnectNet followed up with various emails to keep the customer informed of this and reminders to return the equipment in time. I wish to re-iterate that the customer was informed of the whole cancellation and handover process. Chain of events - Cancellation notice received on 28 Nov '14, reply sent on the 28th stipulating the cancellation procedure and last date to return equipment to avoid further costs. Follow up email sent 31 Dec '14. Email sent regarding unpaid Debit order on 12 Jan 2015. Equipment returned on 14 Jan '15. Email on 20 Jan '15 to remind of outstanding payment and handover should payment not be made.

Capitec card division installed ConnectNet when installing card machine about 4years ago. I moved
premises and no longer need ConnectNet services as reception in the new area is good. I cancelled
contract on time, and asked for unit to be collect, ConnectNet wanted me to pay R680 for collection, so
I asked why so much and their response was that's the fees. I then said that I will return unit but they insisted
that it be before the 7 January 2015, I then responded that I will try but it should not be a problem as I was
not using the unit from the 20 December 2014 and Capitec card division had already arranged for collections
of their card machine. I'm now been threatened that they will forward it to attorneys and I have to pay the
R215.46 and an additional amount of R682.86 for installation. My question is \ why should I pay for installation
now and not billed about four years ago on receipt of the unit ( by the way Capitec Technician installed device )
and I have never missed a payment as it has always been a debit order. Is this the gratitude a good paying client gets just because you no longer need their service and shouldn't they collect unit."
