We have lived in Centurion for almost 13 years and have trusted our safety to Copwatch for that entire time. We have always been happy with their call out time and the efficiency that any queries have been handled. We moved to Dubai in 2022, but kept the house and Copwatch. As we have now sold the house, we have cancelled the service with Copwatch, but we can recommend them a thousand times over. Great service.

Centurion Copwatch security services inconjuction with Noordvaal security services Noordvaal security services is exploiting it’s employees and underpaying them. The employees get no sick leave, they get no annual leave and no night shift allowance. They get paid R56 for working on holidays and R28 for working on Sundays, this is way below what is expected. Black and white employees do not get paid the same salaries despite doing the same job. Noordvaal Security Services has formed a conjunction with Copwatch and Imperium Business Solutions to exploit their employees. If you are absent the company charges you R300 per day even if you reported that you will not be able to make it to work. If you fail patrols you get charged R100 per patrol. To justify underpaying their employees, they state on the payslip that the employee is on a leanership but yet the employee is given duties of a permanent employee with the payment of a learnership. They have been doing this for many years, there are security officers who have been working for Noordvaal Security Services for more than a decade but their payslip still says learnership. This makes it hard for these employees to qualify for certain financial aid. The employees have tried on numerous occasions to report the company to unions and PSIRA but never received any help because the company allegedly uses money to bribe unions and PSIRA inspectors. We urge anyone doing business with Noordvaal Security Services to reconsider because you can’t rely on an underpaid security officer to protect you and your assets. Your assets are not safe under the guard of Noordvaal Security Services

Coowatch #WIN Team - they are very vigilant and helpful when needed. Two Copwatch guards assisted us when the alarm of Neighbours (also a Copwatch Client) was triggered when they saw something suspicious at security gate. It appeared that somebody may have tampered with gate and they called us. They both assisted to inspect premises to ensure that we were safe.

Had to do some updating to a current alarm system this week. It is an absolute pleasure doing bussiness with these people. E-mails are responded to within minutes mostly and within the same day, always. Helpful and friendly on the phone and work was done by one of their sub-contractors with minimal disruption. I can recommend them to anyone in their service area. #WIN

I was called by someone from a call centre to activate an app on my phone from the Copwatch Security company. It sounded like a good idea at the time. I installed the app, but I never activated it and never signed any paperwork to commit to any payment whatsoever. Before I knew it, I was sent outstanding bills!!! For a service and app never even activated! A reputable company just went from hero, to zero in my eyes. They are on a witch hunt for payment of installments of this app I apparently installed, but never even activated!!! How absolute crazy and unacceptable

We rendered a service to Copwatch through their client Trenstar, we were told to invoice Copwatch and not Trenstar, which I found strange as Trenstar was the middleman. Since 25 November 2019 we were made promises by Trenstar Denise that we will be paid that week by Copwatch and eventually I was told by Denise to contact Copwatch directly for our out standing payment, Denise didn't feel the need to make certain as the middleman her contractor gets paid for their services. I have been sending emails to Anita at Copwatch since then, i received numerous promises of payment, and to date no payment has been made. Their owner Bertus was on holiday and was going to pay before he left which didn't happen. I eventually emailed Bertus directly today but haven't received a response as yet. Running a Renovations and Security company, I can honestly say just as hard as it is for a client to trust a contractor, it is hard for a contractor to trust a client. We have had our business for many years and we go out of our way to keep our customers happy and run a ethical business, I am not saying we never make mistakes that would mean we aren't human, but we do take responsibility for our mistakes and try our best to keep good relationships with our clients. Why did I decide to write this review? Really just about the money? No... I think to try and speak for all Renovations and Security companies out there, those who actually do run a honest business, all of us have lost money in the past through dishonest clients, paying a deposit for a project and when it comes to the final balance, after the site has been signed off, they just refuse to pay, or they phone you for a call out, you do the work and don't get payment, we all have handed clients over to attorneys, something no contractor ever wants to do, and yes sometimes it was successful and sometimes not. That said, it's hard enough to run a successful business in this economy and country, having to work for dishonest clients and business makes you loose faith in humanity. Yes of course there are dishonest contractors as well! Which pains me to say: It makes me wonder if a company doesn't honor their payment commitment to another company, Copwatch Security and Trenstar specifically in this case, what kind of service do they render to their paying clients? It is not about Rand and Cents, it's about running a honorable ethical business, and taking responsibility and being accountable.

About a week ago my elderly father saw a missed call that were made by Cop-watch 1 and a half hours early. I made contact with them and they claimed they responded on a panic alert but couldn't access the property due to the high walls and rain. We have a 1 and a half meter fence around the property. I again made contact with the control room and requested that a manager contact me ASAP to discuss the matter. No calls returned. I phoned them again the next day. NO manager called until 9:30. Claiming that his phone was faulty and that he had the prioritise incidence as a large amount of them occurred at the same time. Eventually I was told they went to the wrong house. A manager and technician was sent to the house to resolve the problem, apologise and promise..... The technician found that the beams, installed by Cop-watch did not cover the agreed upon and pay for area. We were vulnerable and open to crime more than ever before. Stupidity but we stuck with them Yesterday, 13 December around 10 to 4 we received a call from the control room that the alarm was activated. We informed that we will check the area from inside the house but activate the panic alarm if necessary. We couldn't see anything from inside the house but our dogs were upset. We activated the panic button at about 3:55. By 4:10 I phoned them to ask why aren't they here yet. I was told that their closest vehicle was in Wierdapark. I informed that this shouldn't be my problem...we activated a panic alert after all. Just after 4:15 we saw flash lights in the neighbours yard. I phoned yet again and was told that they are on our premises. Eventually (about 4:20/25) the gentlemen found his way to our premises and inspected the area. He informed that he was given the 162 and not 160 address. They phoned us this morning. Promising a serious investigation and disciplinary action......just like the previous time. We terminated the contract. I will not be paying for the notice period. This was indeed breach of contract. Horrendous service Copwatch! You are playing with our lives. Please stay away from Copwatch. You and your family (pets as well) aren't safe.

We used to get sms's when our business alarm was tripped... detailed sms's.. with the zone number that was tripped... when the reaction officer would evetualy after 15min pitch on the premises to see what was wrong, we could even see ( via sms ) where on the property he was.. as the system would send us sms's of each and every zone that was being tripped... suddently a few weeks ago the smsa's stopped working.

We have been asking copwatch for 3 weeks now to fix this issue.. we've had managers call and apologise and assure us that our problem will be fixed.. to date... it has not been rectified.

I have left numerous massages for higher management to call us as we needed to escalate this issue higher than the technical manager...to date... not one phone call. They even assured us and promised us that the owner.. MR BERTUS would give us a call.... HA ! would you believe... NO CALL either.

Well... I hope someone out there will read this and make a better informed decision NOT to sign up with copwatch... unfortunately we did not have a choice in the matter because copwatch purchased the armed reaction group of orangefox... and since then.... we have not been happy since.

I will be looking at moving over to a different security company soon.
