Disgusting experience I booked at the royal coastlands hotel for three nights, rooms are very ancient, the first room the phone didn't work and water didn't get hot, second room they changed us to the water was ice cold and the fridge doesn't work as well as poor tv reception. I will be checking out tomorrow due to poor service and I will take this up further if I don't get my refund for the two nights

I used to be an employee at coastland hotel in Durban north beach.I am now living in port elizabeth when I was still living in Durban I lost my job then wanted to claim uif went to department of labour they said that I have not been declared of the system an coastlan has to give me ui19 forms an time schedule.I then went to the HR department in Durban mecury house 3rd floor spoke to a lady she took down my email address name an surname and also I'D number an said she will email me it's been 4months I have not received an email.I managed to get a contact number an gave them a call on Monday 08/03/2021 An explained my situation to a lady she took down my details again an still no response.I would have went to their office again but I can't because I relocated..

Today, 24 January 2020. I have booked rooms for 31 people at this hotel, where I am currently at. Since we arrived at the hospital, we had HORRIBLE, BAD experiences. The lobby of the hotel was untidy, actually dirty. The carpets are dirty, and the staff didn't even bother to greet or ask the group why they were there, when they arrived before me at the hotel. The toilets in the lobby/ foyer had a foul oudor. The aircon doesn't work or release stuffy smell in the air when on. ****roaches were found in one of the rooms. Dirty towels in the bathrooms, all rooms are stuffy, the Windows, oh the windows are sooo dirty, you can't see through it. The carpet in the socalled statesroom, was wet, with no microwave oven. This is REALLY a disgrace to humanity. Eventhough it is selfcatering, doesn't mean it must be filthy. After we complaint, one worker of the hotel came with a spray bottle in the hand, and spraying the curtains, beds, aircon and toilets, with who knows what or for who knows what. 3 ladies from my group left the hotel to book with another hotel. One other lady got so sick, that she had to book an early flight for the next day, back home. This is NOT even a backpacker accommodation, and it is in such a state. I will never ever book at this hotel ever again.... Housekeeping totally a lac****

Today, 24 January 2020. I have booked rooms for 31 people at this hotel, where I am currently at. Since we arrived at the hospital, we had HORRIBLE, BAD experiences. If i could give it a negative i would. very bad front counter service, place was very disorganized. bad smell coming from reception area. Room was booked in advance but on arrival room was not available, got a room late only to find that door was not working then was given another room and told that whomever booked that room might come. Place is very noisy and not safe at all. Decided to leave as the place had false advertising and was really not comfortable as this place does not deserve a star rating. I need my refund and till today stuff and management have given me the run around.

We had a bad experience here at costlands hotel Durban west with my friends. We booked the place because of what we saw online and was including the meal but when we got there it was something else different We requested to talk to the manager but the staff gave us attitude then they told us that she was attending a metting we waited close to to two hour's before she attended us, Them the staff came and told us that we swap our rooms and went and check the room's it was the same issues the stove oven has grease all over and the bathroom was dirty. We refused to take the roomsroom's. We insisted to talk to the manager and after 1o minutes she came with an attitude told us her name berrita and she didn't even apologise instead she told us that their terms and conditions do allow us to cancell with an attitude and she made an error the stay does not include meal. We explained to her that we not happy about the place we came knowing that our rooms includes meal. we showed her pictures of the rooms and the one on internet we asked her if it's possible to move us to umhlanga will pay the difference You know what she said instead of apologizing or she will make a plan she said to us that their were fully booked at umhlanga with an attitude and left us there.Because we had no other option we accepted the room and went and bought domestos,handyandy to try and clean up the place. At night We tried to clean the place the water was cold we went and complaint to the manager that was on duty during the night At least him had customer service and he apologised on behalf of his staff and called maintenance guys to fix it and then we explained to him about our check in situation and he said the lady gave us false name her real name is nomqebo and he promised that they will sort it out the following day. we asked for the dishclothe and he told us to leave everything room service will take care of everything in the morning but we came back in the afternoon they cleaned the floor but dishes were not washed our friend were promised to move them to another room but they keep on saying people will check out the following day. we still have two more days to sleep in we not happy at all about this place it's not hygienic. I took all the pictures but I don't know where to post them.
