3yrs ago I bought a 10-year warranty 8 kWh DEYE solar system. In just 3 years the system batteries are defective and I'm as good as having no solar system. Thrice I've reached out to Deye: I reached out to service@deye.com.cn; deyersaservicejhb@deye.com.cn; wayne.hsu@deye.com.cn; market@deye.com.cn to no avail. I urge the public to be wary of this service provider. All smooth talk when selling you the service, but once you give them the sale, you are on your own. Avoid Deye at all cost; or you'll be in distress like me.

Absolute nightmare to deal with. Rude ‘after sales’ consultants and tech support staff. All we are trying to verify is to find whether a serial number on the inverter is legitimate. The unit was supp**** without warranty stickers. I have called at least 10 people and we keep on getting passed onto someone else. Absolutely ridiculous!!!

If I could give a lower score I would. My 8Kwh invertor was installed and within 2 month it gave a F20 error (hardware issue to do with the transformer). It was taken to Deye for repairs (took 2 weeks) only to come back without anything being fixed. Multiple people have the same issue and it was indicted to me that this is now a know issue with these invertors. It is costing me way more to have solar than just being on Eskom currently thanks to Deye.

I had my 8KW unit installed two and a half years before it developed a fault. I took it to the Kyalami repair center on a Monday, and by Wednesday, it was repaired and ready for collection—free of charge, thanks to the warranty still being valid.

installed a 8 kw deye inverter in april 2025. Two months later a red screen reflect on system. As for this i was mot able to do any touch screens for settings. As i was promised that Deye company are the best and return policy is immediate if any problems. The installer took this inverter to supplier and now it can take up to 21 days. Deye inverter south africa was emailed with no response. Unfortunate for me i resides at town where there is still loadshedding everyday. This have impact on my work. Always reconsider on empty promises

I purchased and had a 5kw single fase Deye Inverter installed Sept 2023 - no Solar, just a single battery. There were some teething issues, but eventually it worked. After a serious power outage February this year it did not fully load the battery and did not 'see' the house - if it switched from Eskom Feed to Inverter there was no power in the house. The technician came and did something with ***** drivers opening up the unit and some settings and after that the battery charge showed 100% again and the inverter worked. Now after a serious outage two weeks ago I have the same issue - does not charge fully and if I switch from Eskom to inverter - no power. The installer says its not their fault or faulty equipment, its just how it works... I cannot believe that.. then Deye inverters are not the answer. They only work while the battery has power... after that they need expert TLC at a cost of R500 per hour.

Deye invertors are made in the same factory as Sunsynk. They radiate a huge amount of RADIO FREQUENCY INTERFERENCE every 30kHz across the specrum using the solar panel DC wires as transmit antenna. Before buying any chinese manufactured invertor request a written guarantee from the seller that the unit does not radiate RFI which is ******* according to SA law. Invertors are not radios and should not interfere with radio, wifi, cellular or any other legitimate communications.
