After simply enquiring about the service I received no communication from Dial A Maid until they appeared at my apartment over an hour after the time that I had enquired about (once again, even though I did not receive any communication nor give confirmation of this request). I told the guards at the complex to turn them away as I was not at home - since I had no indication that anyone was coming, and of course that time was obviously inconvenient for me, hence the enquiry for a time an hour later. Over the last 6 months since this incident I have been aggressively harassed over the phone that I must pay for a service that I a) did not agree to and b) did not receive! The latest incident being today where my partner was harassed over the phone by an angry man named Monty. I will be taking this further and am very disappointed in myself for not having read these reviews beforehand. Beware - a simple enquiry can lead to months of vicious harassment and invoicing for services not agreed to nor delivered.

Bad Service
This service was booked via the website and confirmed on email. Payment in full was requested prior to the service. I called a day before to confirm everything I required and that all was in order. The cleaner showed up clueless to the requirements, the job at hand and without equipment. The company then made an excuse that proper execution will be delivered later. I received no communication throughout the day and returned to my home left completely open and no cleaner in sight. Furthermore my home was not cleaned to required specifications nor according to the attached list of duties emailed by the company itself. The company went on to make further excuses and invoiced me immediately rather than even offering a compensation or secondary clean-up at no charge. Remember this service was already paid for in full. I will never recommend this company and I urge you not to use such a bunch unprofessional people who are nothing less than con-artists!

No work Done yet they want payment
Dear Hello Peter! I was based in pmb for a number of years and used dial a maid with no issues. I have since moved to Gauteng and thought i could use them again. I called their gauteng branch and they said they would send someone to clean and no one arrived( This is in feb) . Fast track to october they want to bill me for the work they have never done? I have since used sweep south and they provide excellent services

Domestic worker incompetence
<p>I used a domestic worker from Dial A Maid on the 17 Dec 2016 and besides not bothering to do the work properly, she used my cellphone charger without asking if she could and used my bath brushes to scrub my shower, Upon sending several emails to Juliana who apologised and promised to get back to me (which she never did), I had to call to find out that they cannot refund me for the brushes that I had to replace since I discarded them. Juliana was rude, kept interuptting me whilst I was speaking and shouted at me that "it was my problem" and there was nothing that they could do since this was their policy (why was I not informed of this in Juliana's initial response to me?). I am absolutely disgusted at the service received from Dial A Maid and will certainly not be using them again.</p> <p> </p>

Shoddy work
I arranged these people to come and do a thorough clean of my sons house. They arrived 40 min late...booked for 8am.....I explained that I wanted the house cleaned from top to bottom. 4 people were in the team and they said it would take the whole day. I got back at 11.30 to find them sitting outside saying they were finished ! The walls were still dirty, the kitchen cupboards and the windows hadn't been touched. The showers had been done but were still black. They did stay on till 2.30 and did the above mentioned to a degree. I think for R1200 it was not up to standard.

Do not use this company
One of the most unprofessional companies we have ever dealt with. Our booking was confirmed via email and phone call. No one arrived as agreed. After enquiring as to the whereabouts of their staff we were told that our booking was cancelled. Eventually one lady arrived at 11am and another at 12. One of the staff members was completely untrained and could not even operate a vacuum cleaner. We were invoiced for a full day!!<br> If you are looking for a professional company that delivers a service on time with trained staff, do not use this company. What a joke.

Do not use this company
One of the most unprofessional companies we have ever dealt with. Our booking was confirmed via email and phone call. No one arrived as agreed. After enquiring as to the whereabouts of their staff we were told that our booking was cancelled. Eventually one lady arrived at 11am and another at 12. One of the staff members was completely untrained and could not even operate a vacuum cleaner. We were invoiced for a full day!!<br> If you are looking for a professional company that delivers a service on time with trained staff, do not use this company. What a joke.

One of the worst!
On Tuesday I phoned and spoke to Juliana to arrange for a char to come on Friday. Assuming all was booked, I waited for the char to arrive on Friday. After her not having arrived, I called the offices and spoke to Tino. He told me that Juliana had not made the booking as arranged but he would send someone if I could just wait about an hour. I waited the requested hour and when she did not arrive I call Tino again. He acted all surprised and said \she hasn't arrived
