Dr V Naidoo the neurologist at Mulbarton is absolutely amazing. I was diagnosed with VZV encephalitis which could have killed me. She did a spinal tap which I did not even feel. She was kind, caring and explained everything about my illness. She answered all my questions patiently and put me at ease. I am super grateful for her care. I am back to my usual self thanks to her. She is marvellous.

Dr V Naidoo neurolgist at Netcare Mulbarton. I can say with total confidence after my experience that Dr Naidoo has absolutely no care for her patients, and it is so disappointing. My mother has bi-polar and rheumatoid arthritis, and is 77 years old. She is on lots of heavy medication, that is very finely balanced to keep her lucid and keep her arthritis in check. On this very heavy medication she has developed a bit of a shake, and so I was recommended to go to Dr Naidoo to test for Parkinsons. My mom was checked into hospital, tests were done, and I have YET to see Dr Naidoo face to face for results. I went to her office to hopefully get some feedback around the MRI and next steps, she was not available, no information was given. The next day, the nurses speed dialled her to tell me what medication my mom was on for Parkinsons, and she told me to meet her the following day at 08.30 to discuss the matter. On my way to the hospital I get a call that Dr Naidoo is on leave. In the meantime my mother is sent home with Parkinson’s medication, and I am told to make sure she takes it for 7 days and CALL Dr Naidoo to see if she stops shaking. I do not understand how I can be told to put my mother on Parkinsons medication, which causes hallucinations (and she is bi-polar) when I have not had ANY information regarding the MRI results, what was picked up, what the prognosis is, simply “she shakes”. This has to be some form of medical malpractice, this is serious medication and I have received NO information on what was picked up. In the meantime, I give my mother the medication, and in 3 days she is a completely different person, the bi-polar is throwing her off, she is hallucinating, she is not lucid and she is very unhappy. All because Dr Naidoo couldn’t care less about actually making the right decisions for her patients and their specific situation, I hope she enjoyed her “extra” long Easter weekend though, I’m sure it was much more important to her than the patients she left behind Absolutely unacceptable service from Dr Naidoo, I hope she can give her future patients even an inch of time and care. And then when we try to contact Netcare, they say the doctors are independent practitioners, but is not Netcare's responsibility to make sure those practitioners are actually worth having in the hospital? No one takes accountability.

I have been through the ringer as far as my health is concerned and I am so grateful to have such a caring Neurologist. My first Neurologist was a bust. Dr. Djan is on the polar opposite of Dr Naidoo. It doesn't matter what issues I face, she is there guiding me. Her office lady, Sondelani, is such a pleasure to speak with. I am truly grateful 🙏

Dr V Naidoo - Neurologist at Mulbarton Hospital. Husband was under her care for 8 days, many tests were done. Discharged without Any prescription for medication, no feedback for 4 weeks, even after repeated phone calls, emails, even our referring GP tried to obtain what Blood pressure medication was issued during the hospital stay, which was refused. After lodging 2x complaints with Netcare, we finally received an appointment for feedback. One Month later. Still NO Script for Any medication, knowing high BP is prevalent, No note booking him off for the last 4 weeks either. Problems raised, but not forthcoming with any information as to the Cause and only wanting to fast track treatment. There is Zero professionalism, or care for her patients. Would NEVER recommend her to anyone. If we had been aware of her lack of service, we would never have gone to Mulbarton Hospital. An aunt of the family just to happened to have been treated by Dr V. Naidoo when she had a mild stroke. Again, more than a year later, Dr Naidoo is yet to release the information of the "'care"' and test, for the aunt to move on with her life. Dr Naidoo had told the aunt her tests were nothing really to worry about, giving no explanation on the cause or treatment of the stroke. Aunt went for physio only to be told, her tests are Absolutely to be addressed immediately to prevent another stroke and to heal. Rather go to another Neurologist who actually thrives on taking care of Patients and has a passion for their field.
