I sent a request to renew my certificate, it was taking long and had no time. I sent an email to a consultant who gave me feedback to follow up, I didn't get feedback maybe he was off, then I sent an email Vinesh Pithumbar, the service I got from him, it's amazing, I got my certificate. The world needs more of you Vinesh.Pithumbar, thank you so much. Excellent service

Excellent service from Mmathapelo Makofane When i first called film board, i did not know anything about their work, i only went to Nu-metro Cinemas early this year, i told them about my movie that i want to submit, they just said you need to register with film board and get classification from them as well for your content. I then called film board spoke with Mmathapelo, she was very professional and patient with me, as i was asking all kinds of questions, to understand why i am paying and how am i going to be assisted. She took her time explaining to me. I kept on calling as now then i needed few details to make sure i am submitting the correct documents. Today i am very thankful to Mmathapelo and film board as i have received my certificate. Kind Regards Nompumelelo

FPB has now crossed the line when it comes to exploitation. I am a service provider who has worked with them twice now and after experience difficulty the first time around (ended up getting resolved way after the due date), now they are refusing to make payment to a service rendered.I am a caterer who provides meals for their 'staff/managers' (breakfast and lunch) and prior to that, i would quote and if successful, provide a service. fast forward, September i provided a service and when it is time to pay me, i have received the worst service known to service providers. NO payment as we did not confirm accordingly. No payment because YOU DECIDED to cater. pathetic and if young black hard working individuals are treated like this by an established company, then what is left for us to do? i am sorry if i chose to make an honest living!! very upset and disappointed. i need this money to continue working and as we stand, i cannot continue because somebody decided, "let us ignore this process of paying service providers, 2 months in!"

on 29 March 2017 I've raised the following: I’d like you to clarify something please. On the website “moviesite – brooklyn nouveau”, the FPB rating for blasphemy is indicated as none - (http://www.moviesite.co.za/2017/0324/the-sense-of-an-ending.html) Your website states that the FPB is accountable to the general public. The latest available statistics of South Africa indicated that 79.8% of the population is Christian believers. For Christian believers, the words “God, Lord, Jesus Christ, Here and Christ” are names for the Holy Almighty God and not to be used as a form of swearing or any other. It’s the Lord’s name which we call upon during prayer and praise. I’ve seen the movie “a Sense of an Ending” and the words “ God and Jesus Christ” are used on 4 different occasions and for all of these occasions the intention was to swear in anger. I found it utterly heart breaking that the FPB states they are accountable to the general public, of which 79.8% are Christians, yet you’ve indicated the blasphemy on this movie as zero. How do you think that you have done your duty? I’d like to hear from you before I decide how to take the matter further. On 30 March 2017 my query was acknowledge with confirmation that it will be escalated to the relevant department. On 10 April 2017 I got the following: Thank you for your enquiry below. Blasphemy is a voluntary category classifiable element that is assessed against its frequency and impact levels holistically in the film. We do however thank you for your email. Your concerns will be entered into our portfolio of evidence that will be taken into account during the Classification Guideline Review process. The Classification Guideline Review process consult various stakeholders including members of the public. Please feel free to participate in these once they are held in your region. And on the same day I've replied with: Thank you for your email. However, if ever I've seen a worthless email from accepting responsibility, yours is the perfect example. Blasphemy is blasphemy – it doesn’t only become blasphemy after a certain number of times that the words are uttered. You are misleading God fearing people and for that, responsibility will be claimed from you – whether in this life or the day of Reckoning. Please advise when is your next classification review process is open. On 2 May 2017 FPB replied: Kindly note that our internal unit are currently busy planning for the Classification Review Process, once the date has been finalised you will be notified. And since then, absolute no replies on my follow up emails on 25/8/2017, 27/9/2017 and 18/10/2017 And in the meantime, the meaningless blasphemy rating from FPB continues while innocent God fearing people notice the blasphemy rates as zero, buy a movie ticket just to walk out of the cinema when the blasphemy starts. So I've lost trust in your rating process and I am loosing money. But then, I'd rather loose trust in your process and money, than loosing my soul to the ways of this world. You on the other hand, still have to answer to God......

For more than a YEAR now, I get emails from Judas Matlakale requesting that I send him month end statements / recons but I have NEVER even been a customer or made use of the FPB! And EVERY SINGLE MONTH I reply to this email requesting to remove my email address from his bulk emails because he has got the wrong person, but every month I still get the same damn email! I have called him as well and asked to stop sending me these emails and he said he would remove it, but guess what, he next month the same story over and over again. I have also threatened to take this to his superiors with no results. I ask you, HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO REMOVE AND EMAIL ADDRESS!!!!??? This is beyond pathetic and I'm very surprised that this person still has a job when he can't even perform the simplest of task. Maybe this complaint will get somebody's attention and I will stop getting spam from your company!

I've just taken my 18 month old son to see Hotel Transylvania 2. He absolutely loved Hotel Transylvania 1, and has watched it many times. He was in a state of high excitement to be going to see this movie. Imagine our surprise (shock) when we were told that the Publications Control Board have rated this as nobody under 7! My son is now in tears. This is an animated kid's movie and, even though he was accompanied by me and his granny he was not permitted entry. What happened to our constitutional rights? Who gave these people the right to impose their views on the rest of us? He can go into a bookstore and can grab a porno mag off the shelf, but he can't see an animated movie. I would really like to understand their reasoning as I'm just flabbergasted right now.
