Here is my experience: Quoting and payment issues: On 8 August, the sales consultant quoted me R13,182, which I paid in full. On 9 August (delivery day), the sales consultant suddenly messaged me to say they could not deliver because of a “machine breakdown” and postponed delivery to Tuesday. On 11 August, I was called again and told I had been underquoted and needed to pay an additional R3,450. After a long discussion with Pearl (the manager), I paid this as well. Delivery shortfalls and confusion: On 12 August after 17:00, the grass was finally delivered, but only 152 m² instead of 200 m² (I paid for 120 m² Kikuyu + 80 m² LM). They then said they would “accommodate” me with 22.5 m² LM, but I needed 65 m² LM for my shaded area. I therefore paid an additional R2,337.50 (R1,237.50 + R1,100) for the extra 42.5 m². After I made these payments, the sales consultant called again saying they realized it was actually their mistake and they would give me 48 m² LM. Because I knew refunds would be an issue, I instead ordered plants worth R1,471 to balance the payments. More broken promises: The sales consultant initially said they would give me 65 m² LM, but later reduced this to 36 m² because LM is more expensive than Kikuyu (LM = R55/m² vs Kikuyu = R36/m²). They eventually delivered 45 m² LM on 17 August instead of the 65 m² promised, and now claim they only owe me 7 m² more instead of the full 20 m². Poor quality and additional costs: The plants I received were in poor condition and not of a professional standard. Because the grass delivery was incomplete and staggered, I had to hire someone else to plant the grass, which cost me extra. Had they delivered the correct quantities upfront, this would not have been necessary. In summary: Fine Lines Landscaping did not deliver what I paid for, changed their story multiple times, and failed to take accountability for their mistakes. They short-delivered and caused unnecessary extra costs. I feel misled and taken advantage of, and I strongly recommend that others avoid using their services.

Stay away from this company, I repeat STAY AWAY .. there are a more reputable companies out there , take your hard earned money elsewhere please I beg you .. this company is unserious and fails to take accountability about a delivery of kikuyu grass I ordered , they didn’t come the first day as expected no explanations whatsoever, they only came the second day and dialled the wrong house number the entire time , my wrong call number and messaged me on WhatsApp lol that time I didnt even know when they are coming cause I was expecting them yesterday between 12-5 .. I was told it’s my fault and was ordered to pay another delivery fee .. how absurd is that??? An employee threw sarcasm in my face when they delivered late again today, I was told 8 they came at 9:30, it’s almost like a joke to them how unprofessional they are !! Jesus I wish I did intensive search on other companies that treat customers like customers.. I don’t even know why they show up first on google .. AVOID , heck RUN by all means!!!!!!

Categoric "DO NOT USE"... While their plants are good, their service is appalling. Nonnie quoted over DOUBLE what you need, their management absent. The sold us 110% more plants than we needed (full payment upfront), arrived two hours late to plant, breached estate rules when they didn't finish when they said they would and then demanded that we load the remaining plants and take them to the gate for her team who had arrived after the gates had closed. When they FINALLY came to collect the over-sold plants their driver let themselves onto my property (without telling me they were there), reversed in skew and then caused massive damage to everything they touched when they tried to dig their way out again. Their trucks are not road-worthy with slick tyres, their driver wedged their truck against my wall and gate, creating damage to my new home wall and gate and dug up about 3 odd meters of my lawn at the entrance just to get themselves un-stuck. It would have been a comedy if it wasn't so infuriatingly tragic. At the time, no one in the sales office would answer our calls or talk to us, promising to call back. Two weeks later - silence. E-mails of complaint have gone unanswered due to "management being out of the country". No apology, offer of any kind of gesture to make up for the damage or inconvenience, despite the documented images of damage. Unless you are going to collect plants and plant them yourself - our advice - STAY AWAY🤬

I did not struggle with delivery etc. but the issue is with installation. The installers literally ignored all the soil we bought, where they did use soil the the grass is uneven. There has been so much rain since December but our grass has mostly thinned out. We have also been consistent in watering but this has also not been enough. Also, the grass comes with so many ****s which has been really unpleasant to look at. The prices for the grass was good but I am reminded that you get what you pay for.

Misleading advertising on compost get up to 50% off. The maximum you will get is 17%. Stay away they can't be trusted with advertising and it is there as a hook only and not as a discount to the customer. The sales rep was very argumentative would not allow me to speak and continually spoke over me. The client is definitely not king in this outfit. Tooo much choice look away and find a landscaper where you are looked after listened to and in no way mislead with discounts not valid and available and hugely exaggerated.

Terrible service. Delivered dead dry grass. Made out that it was my fault I did not send the grass back immediately but fail to take responsibility that the product should have been checked prior to delivery. Managers and staff very unhelpful and arrogant. STAY AWAY

Appalling service. Still trying to get them to come and quote. That was over a week ago. Thank God for Hellopeter and all the amazing comments. You guys may have just saved me from waisting my money.

Wow, Fine Lines Landscaping what a f#*$^ing joke and extremely disappointing experience. They are rude, extremely unprofessional, lazy and down right the biggest sharks you can find. What a disgusting service and grass, I honestly have no words. A little background, we had ordered from them a little while ago and asked for delivery. We accept, as we paid extra for this service, that it would be delivered to/in our yard. Obviously, they wouldn't pack the grass and we were happy to do so. After arriving several hours late, they absolutely refused to carry the grass down 7 stairs, as there were two of them, the one could be at the bottom and one at the top of the stairs and hand it to eachother, but no they said they do not do stairs. At this point, we were very angry and frustrated, we then phoned the office to speak to a manager. Wow, what an even bigger disaster this was. 1st there was no manager at the office, they kept passing the phone around, finally got to a lady who was so beyond rude that it was disgusting talking to her, unbelievable how someone can talk to a customer like she did. 2nd, we tried and failed to explain that we paid for delivery and that the guys were refusing. She then argued that they don't do stairs and that we were suppose to tell them, which we then fought about, as according to us and there policy online, there was no mention of this, they should have mentioned this before we paid for delivery. 3rd we wanted our money back as the service we had paid for is not being done, this lady absolutely refused and was happy to go to court, this argument ofcourse set her off completely and she started shouting and screaming at us on the phone "take us to court then". After refusing to stoop down to her level, we proceeded by doing everything ourselves, offloading the truck and carrying it all down, in which case my husband has damaged two cushions in is neck and tore a muscle in his shoulder trying to offload and the guys that were meant to do this literally stood by and watched us do absolutely everything by ourselves, they did not lift one finger to help us out at all and just waited for us to do everything. This doesn't even cover the grass quality, this was cut in all sorts of sizes, full of ****s and most of it was not the best quality.
