I’ve just started the MBA and, honestly, the first few months have been incredible. The cohort is so diverse and experienced, it’s the kind of environment where you leave feeling energised/inspired. The lecturers have been excellent too, John Ford, Monaj and the rest of the faculty bring proper real-world insight, not just “theory". The admin support has also been standout, communication has been clear, quick, and genuinely helpful. Veronica and her management team are also so friendly, professional, and supportive... it really adds to the experience. The campus also feels world class (Special shoutout to the goooood aircon). The catering is also ridiculous (in the best way). Big thank you to Prof. Morris and the team, it’s been a great start and I’m really glad I chose GIBS!

GIBS operates like a money-making scheme, with poor lecture delivery. When students fail by just 2%, they are not only failed but also required to pay R17,000 for readmission, despite the subpar teaching. I deeply regret studying at GIBS, as they seem more focused on making money than supporting students who pay such high fees

Gibs, is the worse employer in South Africa, and destroys lives of young black South African employed as interns, and there is a lady who’s a programme director who is untouchable and destroys lives of young lives and Department of Education and University of Pretoria seems to be Unable to deal with the vagrant attitude of the select group which destroys lives of young black.

It's just a waste of stupid time and takes away your family and friends just for stupid assignments. It ruins kids life if you have one. You'll end up neglecting them and they'll feel all alone. -1/10 worst ever do NOT reccomend

I have a spine chilling experience from this institution. I had to deregister because as much as they claim to be inclusive, they actually take pride in being bullies and *****s. For the amount of money they charge for PDBA, I had to opt to deregister because I was being bul**** to stay in a syndicate where I was clearly going to fail. I didn't even choose the syndicate by the way and they refused point blank for me to change so I requested to deregister. I was shocked by the *****ry and violation of my right as a human being when I received the confirmation of cancellation and the reason for cancellation was a lie and cited something that I only disclosed to the programme manager to give context but did not give consent to be shared further. I am disturbed by the lack of integrity in processing matters and the lie and misrepresentation of the reason for my cancellation of the course. I am aware of my social standing in this country and having a disability pushes me further down the food chain of people whose cases should be handled with the confidentiality and integrity they deserve. Still, shame on you GIBS, I cannot believe I still have to pay 25% of the tuition fee after only attending 1 course and being mistreated like this!! For an institution that claims to be inclusive, I and knew it was all just a scorecard point for them because saying you provide concessions without even understand limitations and implications of conditions that you claim to accommodate is laughable. Using my health status as the reason for cancellation is *********, even for an institution that only cares for money like yours.

I studied with GIBS IN 2012 and am now struggling to obtain my certificate. I sent several emails and the response is not forthcoming. On one email I received a partial response. I am now struggling to reach anyone there that can assist.

I was due and excited to start my MBA journey with GIBs today but with the changes in covid alerts and the resulting move to online classes made me change my mind and defer registering till next year. My main issue through the decision making with GIBs is the lack of communication and support through the process and coming from a business school of such repute, I am left surprised and disappointed. While I understand the need to move classes online, I have found the whole communication process uphazard and unplanned with the minimal communication received. I was surprised when I sent my deferral email and received an out of office response from the programmer manager indicating that he will only be back to office when orientation had started already. As if not enough, I then received another email on the eve of orientation with details and agenda for the next day. Add in random emails from lecturers and I am left really disappointed by this school. I as a potential student had no clear of what was coming or what was going on. I get that we are living in strange times but I would expect a business school worth its name to have a streamlined communication process leading up to commencement of the programme with clear details about what to expect. I would expect that all this communication is sent timeously and not on the eve of the starting date. I would expect proper branding on all official communication from the school. I would expect that key personnel are available and on standby leading up to commencement of classes especially for new students. Now I am sitting here wondering whether my deferral email has been received, what actions to take next, and at the least the ability to talk to some student liaison officer to understand some of the processes. I drove to the school actually to try and see if I could get to speak to someone but the security told me to come the next day as he is sure classes would be onsite. This is shambling coming from GIBS, ateast based on what I was expecting.

The Course content is excellent and so is the Lecturer, however, the course co-ordinator was non-responsive to emails or calls. The online site is difficult to navigate and assistance was lagging.
